Hello, I'm giving you an example for your mind to come to life. I have a site called agecalculator.com my main target word is retirement age calculator. While the word difficulty level of the name of my site is 50, the difficulty level of the word I target is 25. But while I am in the 12th rank in the word of my site's name, I am in the 50th rank in the word I target. I couldn't understand how this happened. My site's meta title, meta description and h1 have the word I'm targeting. If we say the word I'm targeting is retirement age calculator, of course, title, description and h1 are also mentioned in the age calculator. Additionally I put the age calculator on h2. Any idea why I'm so behind in my target word, something seems wrong?

This is a hard keyword to rank for. Keep making good number of quality backlinks to improve the current rank.

Google detects your intent. As soon as they know you're targeting A, then A will get demoted.

You gotta make it so it's not so obvious you're targeting that exact key phrase.

Use synonyms and related concepts in the h1 and title for LSI

Write articles related to the topics just to add more weight to the site.

Don't use the literal kw, use semantically related concepts but do include the actual key phrase at least once on the page.

Google detects your intent. As soon as they know you're targeting A, then A will get demoted.

You gotta make it so it's not so obvious you're targeting that exact key phrase.

Actually, I used a tactic like this. I passed my targeted keyword in the title in a crowded manner. So, for example, instead of retirement age calculator, I blended it with words such as Best, Fast, 2022. I used it openly in H1 and I started with this keyword first in the description. It pisses me off that Google behaves this way.

Exact match & over-optimization are no longer the keys to the kingdom. You have to vary your targeting keywords & target your topic as a whole, not just your keyword.

Sure but that's not the concept. You're not supposed to just stuff some words around the key phrase.

You're supposed to use terms which are semantically related to the key phrase you target.

The easiest way to do this is to search for your keyword, browse to the bottom of the serps and see which other concepts they suggest. Take note of those and use them in your content.

First of all, the keyword difficulty numbers are bullshit and highly inaccurate. Stop trusting those and you are good.

Secondly, ranking depends on many factors. All you can do is create content and build quality backlinks.

This was solid advise. I was just about to say over-optimisation. I’ve seen this mentioned quite a bit lately regarding over use of keyword in H1 and H2
