I just got a renewal for my .info domain and they increased it to 29.95.Higher than a .com.Customer service is offshore. What is their logic.I go to many places that area a lot cheaper

Renewal prices for new TLDs are always crazy, I think they just want people to use for one year and be gone with the domain name

Op you can transfer out to another registerar. Always set domain to not auto renew.
Find cheap one to transfer here:

I wouldn't use GoDaddy for anything, the domain's price for the first year is reduced then they hike the price massively!

Just transfer the domain and then pay the yearly cost for the other provider. Namesilo is $16.99 or Namecheap is $15.98 then $19 next year.
