I saw this the firstly 2 weeks ago in my opnion that's dumbest update they ever did like who win's from it?
They wanna hide verified peoples followers so they can continue bot millions and millions of followers?
Or they wanna destroy method's like mass dm?

Well no platform can fight developers from around the globe, No billion dollar company can too. As even they are run by humans lol

Verified accounts have the option to choose whether they want people to see their followers or not. If you look around you will see that not all verified accounts have that setting on. For example, look at @kanyewest and look at his followers.

Methods like mass dms will always be around in one form or another. Whether it is scraping likes, comments, followers, hashtags etc. There will always be ways to get around new restrictions that Instagram enforces

Verified accounts don't even give good results for mass dm's, They are full of bot followers, followers from giveaway loops, bad quality accounts and what not. Quality followers are gained or scraped from medium sized accounts with good engagement and proper niche.

They actually get to choose whether to hide their full list of followers or not. It's also not just limited to verified pages, I've seen relatively large, non-verified pages also hide their full follower list.
