Stripe... As you all know, they're a credit card payment processors. But not just that. They tend to lie to new business owners.
We all know how Stripe are harsh with their standards towards accepting new businesses. I knew that from the beginning.

However, I contacted Stripe, MAKING sure that my line of business (which is not an SMM Panel) is actually eligible for Stripe's standards. They went through my website and confirmed that my business is indeed eligible!
They told me, I have nothing to worry about, all i have to do is verify my ID and you're good to go! Which i did. Now they have my personal information stored...
After few payments made by clients, i received an email stating that they are going to close my account for restricted business model.

"We recently identified payments on your Stripe account that don’t appear to have been authorized by the customer, meaning that the owner of the card or bank account didn’t consent to these payments."

The funny part is, we only accept 3DS payments, therefore the client needs to authenticate in order to process the charge. We have set of rules implemented into our Radar fraud, stating that any CC that does not
permit 3DS gets to be blocked.
Their message towards closing my account doesn't make any sense, now they're going to refund all my clients who got the service done.

P.S: The line of business is Web design & Branding. Which they completely approved upon signing up.

Conclusion: DO NOT trust Stripe whatsoever. Moving on onto another Payment providers.

Hey man, that is rough. Almost seems like Stripe got bought out by PayPal lol.
What other payment providers do you have in mind?

Stripe is trash but your line of business should not be the problem in this case. You must have received some chargebacks and their cheap AI has flagged your account.

Well, just think about the amount of fraud Stripe has been received. It's just normal that Stripe is too "cautious" and ban everyone :/

This story relates too much with my experiences recently.
Have you discovered a more 'flexible' method to carry out your business?
I cannot for various reasons use coins so am looking at more traditional methods to receive what should be mine and not have some miserable halfwit say 'no' - its his - thanks.

I am still trying to search for one. Not similar to authorize.net or org or .com
Not surprising, Stripe is looking more and more like PayPal
They're going to lose business really.
Except they actually refund clients. Paypal still ahead of them in stealing legit monies.
That's true.
All other card payment processors, Paypal, etc will be the same. You better move to crypto.
I promise you it won't be as hard. Like stripe

Nope, the account is fresh, no chargebacks and only charging trusted and old clients

Sales = down. they signed up for this industry. So they better take one up their asses

My clients are demanding credit card payments. EVEN PAYPAL accepted my line of business

There are so many other payment processors you could use for your service. Try square maybe. If all fails, you could always go to a high-risk payment processor.

PayPal is now being publicly shitted on. Stripe is next.

If things haven't changed then 3DS activated meant that the payment processor shouldn't face any liabilities for chargebacks or fraudulent orders.. at least I've had this impression for years... The banks are responsible for that end (or were).

Unless they managed to claim that your service wasn't what was advertised and somehow managed to convince Stripe... not surprised if your client is an EU citizen as things are different here and can change on the go so anythings possible.

They lie or hiding facts to support their own interests to sustain their business plans. same with PP,2Checkout, etc.

2checkout are like that as well? What's PP?

  1. What country is your account/business located in?
  2. What is the nature of your integration? Are you using Stripe JS, hosted payment links or custom/direct calls to their API?
  3. What additional data are you passing to Stripe other than the card info?

It is very likely that the answers to these questions can solve your problems.
