But where did your traffic to amazon come from?I was using till last week. They closed my account because I failed to answer their enquiry of where my traffic was coming from. Missed their email. Time to create a new account. Acc lasted 6 months
Just a doubt: I have always known that Amazon's rules are quite restrictive .... is it therefore possible to do DIsplay Ads + Amz Affiliate Links?Commission rates on Amazon could be better, but conversions are excellent.
I tried share a sale, but not even close to Amazon...
In the end, for me the winning combination are display ads + Amazon aff. links...
Well, I always clearly state that the link is toward the Amazon and that the link is affiliate.Just a doubt: I have always known that Amazon's rules are quite restrictive .... is it therefore possible to do DIsplay Ads + Amz Affiliate Links?
Can you explain a little more?
Thank you
that means that if you want make money by Amazon, you have to drive the traffic from somewhere else and not from Google - or change something when choosing the topics for your articles.Amazon is pretty much dead, the commissions are super low and google hates small affiliate websites now, the big players control the first page (cnet, forbes etc)
Well, I always clearly state that the link is toward the Amazon and that the link is affiliate.
Also, i use amazon search ads a lot.
I never use images from Amazon, but i take them from the manufacturer pages even if they are the same - no brand will tell you anything when you are writing reviews about their products and when you try to make few sales.
I never copy text from the amazon product pages - all reviews are original.
But, because of google, I also try to write info articles with no Amazon links, best of type of articles with tables (for examle, if there is a column with Amazon links, it is clearly stated as "amazon links", and after the table there is note that the Amazon links are affiliate), and similar.
Personally, when there is a note that the link is toward the Amazon, people will click it more often... IMHO of course...
And Amazon don't mind if you mix other affiliate programs with theirs (but you have to write down for example walmart aff link and similar) and if you use display ads, for example, google adsense, mediavine, adthrive and similar...
Just my 2c...
Have you found a better alternative?I use Amazon, but very soon I will switch or leave it
I'm in the process. I'll post as soon as I find it. There are better alternatives, although it all depends on the niche and the product.Have you found a better alternative?

Also, if you know a better affiliate program than Amazon, please, speak up
IMHO, it is not only about commissions, it is about commissions (not good), conversions (great), people wanting to spend money (good), etc.
So you have one or more sites on which you publish reviews of products sold on Amazon .... unique and quality texts ..... Many like me are probably wrong in this .... that is, publishing the same data as Amazon .. .. so unoriginal content
Then through the ads you bring the traffic to your pages, where the user knows that clicking certain links will go to amazon .... all in the light of the sun.
In this way then Google can not say anything to the contrary?
Two questions:
1) On which platforms do you advertise?
2) Have recent google updates (from May onwards) also affected this type of site?
