[GUIDE] Get 33k backlinks using scrapebox (without commenting) [updated bigger list Feb 18

First, I want to take this opportunity to thank the OP. So thank you Physaux for the share of your files AND your thought process.

The reason it might make a link to 'yoursite.com/folder/12345.html' is because... First let me give you an example how that could have happened.:

1st-> In my query of "inurl:apple.com -domain:apple.com" I harvested the following url: "getinfo.com?url=apple.com/folder/12345.html"
2nd-> I batch replaced the main domain 'apple.com' with 'testdomain.com'
3rd-> When I ran a link check for 'testdomain.com', I ticked 'Match Domain Only'
4th-> Scrapebox found a link to "testdomain.com" on page "somesite.com?url=testdomain.com/folder/12345.html" (which was actually to "testdomain.com/folder/12345.html" in this instance, but was detected anyways)
5th-> And so, when you run this, scrapebox will replace "somesite.com?url={website}/folder/12345.html" into "somesite.com?url=yourdomain.com/folder/12345.html", and this will make a link to "yourdomain.com/folder/12345.html"

And so you will ultimately get a link to a page on your domain, which might not exist.

OK I too think I understand it now.

Thank you for that clarification.

So, if I am correct this process creates many links to a webpage on your site that do not exist. As a result the searcher will be directed to a 404 page. Is this correct?

And so, to utilize this process, it is necessary to replace the standard 404 page, as other posts have expressed, with a page that will give the searcher useful information about your site - links to the home page for instance. However, according to
Code:
http://www.mcanerin.com/EN/articles/301-redirect-404-error.asp
, one should be wary of using redirect code to your home page as "the redirecting page will usually return a "200 OK" " which "can result in a whole bunch of indexed URL's all looking to the search engine like duplicates of your home page". And, of course, duplicate content on the same website is not acceptable to the Search Engines.

And so the SEO benefit to this process is not so much to have backlinks to your home page or to any particular page, but to substantially increase the number of backlinks to your overall site. With new websites it can be an insurmountable task to compete with established sites for total backlinks. This is one process to overcome that hurdle.

Is this a fair understanding?

I guess the question becomes: Will the SERPs take the quality of the links, that being 404 errors, into consideration in ranking your website and web pages? And the goal would be to discover a way to avoid the 404 errors.

Any suggestions anyone? If I read the above article on 404 errors correctly, there is no work around for this without unacceptable consequences - duplicate content.

On thinking about it, perhaps a custom 404 page with unique content (a new rendition of the home page) and then, possibly, a redirection to the home page.

Any thoughts?

Regards,
DW

I load my domain, then I load the list of sites ( a short list for test purposes) with {website} replace with my domain, afterwhich all I get is the following error message,

"Your list of indexer serviecs is malformatted and we could not find a valid entry."

What am I doing wrong?

Will revert back with the outcomes of this method. Thanks for Sharing :)

Anybody have this list of url's in a note pad thats set up 1 url per line?

Anybody have this list of url's in a note pad thats set up 1 url per line?

This is how it is setup, but if you want to format the HUGE list even further use Batch Keyword Cleaner I think its called... its in the download section its a great tool to have anyways.

Hello physaux,

You say to be careful with new domains right? How new is new...? In other words, when would it be safe to just plugin this list and let it run? My domain is 3 months old and I am thinking about just letting this chug away. Also, good info for future domains. Thank you.

Kind Regards,

so backlinks are from statistic site?
right?

anyway thanks :)

It's a nice list, but lots of links have no actual link to my page. Probably 2/3th of the list i think.
I've checked it manually for some links.

Is there a tool to check if my link is really on the links from the list?

Use the tool Scrapebox to do this.

Can someone told me if we can use this method with the list for Statblaster from this thread. http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/white-hat-seo/142892-get-statblaster-rapid-backlinks-via-statistics-websites-updated-jan-18-2010-a-12.html

somehow i only get 501 errors. what am i doing wrong?

works very well. did reduce the number of connections to 20-40 using 2-3 fast proxies. Still got some errors but not really that many, 20% maybe.

how can i get this links indexed or will they be indexed automatically.

First i found about Scarpebox in BHW,
and now this... awesome post.

Super stuffs. I hope some more real good stuffs in near future from BHW. Thank you so much.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I'm hoping you can clarify some things for me...

First of all, do these backlinks actually give you any juice for ranking? Or is this just a way for getting your site indexed quickly?

Secondly, a lot of the links in the list add stuff to the end of your website URL, like extra folder path names that don't actually exist on your site but seemed to get passed to the statistics site you're targeting. Does this matter? Or do you want to get rid of that extra stuff that basically makes your link invalid?

I'm new to scrapebox so forgive me if these questions are dumb.

You did read the title of the thread didn't you?
"Get 33k backlinks using scrapebox" ought to be a clue :)

I laughed ... a lot.

hehehe

These backlinks will do both ... help rapid index and (some peeps will argue with this) are a backlink...the amount of "juice" with these may be limited, but they are still a backlink.

Second question ... I removed the non-existant links , I simply don't like all the redirects or 301's... YMMV

So, I am left to assume that google will not likely find the bulk majority of these links. I could perhaps have missed it somewhere, but else wise here is what I was wondering.

So I run the list. Then do a check links. Should I then use the ping function to ping the found list to some sites so they get crawled?

I wouldn't just slam 33K links in there, but dong in in smaller increments. Like StatBlaster pings pinomatic, but I don't really know how well that works.

Anyway, thanks.

Anyone see a result in the SERPs with this?

I'm currently trying to figure out how to get a good post NOT blocked by Akismet, and run SB on a new site with ~200 Yahoo backlinks. After that, I'd like to try this.

Hey Jaybird,

How'd you remove the links?

I too would like to know! Please could you share this information JayBird, or upload your text file with the non-existant links ommitted.

Thank You

Joe
