Relevancy while choosing aged, expired domain names?

Okay,

So let's take a simple example - I am going to have a website where the niche is - posts about android/ios apps and links to play store. I tried searching by keyword - apps, app, android.

Now i am not finding good domains on spamzilla (either too costly, or moz da very low, or spammed to death).

My question is if i say use a very broad term like say mobiles, smartphones, technology etc. Then if i find a good website with good tf, da, backlinks and age. BUT that website is not about my chosen niche. Like it is somewhat related only.

So how do i bridge the gap between my chosen niche and that website. So that backlinks acquired by that websites don't go to waste.

Like do i also have to post articles about that expired domains?

Any other ways?

If it's for a money site, then pick a domain first and then pick a niche based on that. The other way around it's just a world of pain as you know by now.

Going way too wide off the mark in non spammy niches is shooting yourself in the leg and starting with a handicap already. Not ideal whatsoever.

It's a different matter for a PBN site, but I presume you are talking about a money site here.

In this case, check your competitors for that. Check if they use an expired domain related to your niche or a brand new domain.

Or an expired domain with a broad niche.

If broad niche then checks other than your niche which topics they are targeting.

Just like @Nargil said, going way too broad would be a headache.

Or just go for the aged domain non-spammy with little to no backlinks. so you could at least skip the sandbox period.

Good question.
Now it is tough to find the perfect domain. Especially relevant. You need to find some things that will be related to the old one and do this daily. It can be some online tools or any service or help guide, but you will need to show and make a vision that your domain covers both topics.

I also advise you to try to find a relevant old domain with a good relevant history, but it can be a domain without links. But short, 100% relevant, easy to remember, and aged. So it will be better than taking the new one.

I remember finding at least 5 domains in those niches two weeks ago, all of them with a DR of 8 to 14 and nice number of referring domains, all of them dropped.

You won't find any NY Times + Forbes + Wikipedia backlinks on the dropped domain lists, but they do have some nice links anyway.
You need time searching, a few hours won't cut it.

Another cheap way to do it is, buy some dropped domains which aren't in your niche, 301 them to some niche related forum where you have a back;link to your moneysite. You lose some link value, but at least it's safe and costs pennies. $30 for 3 nice backlinks.

hey all, like i found a domain on spamzilla. SZ score is also good. but the thing is in spam message it is showing as -
: \"Significant Increase in Content (Significant Increase in Outbound Links"

So should i consider this or skip this domain?

I just want to say that backlinks are vastly overestimated in everything except the hardest niches. I own a site with 2.1 DR and 120k monthly visits.

Aged domains in the same niche index/rank faster than expired domains. Expired domains are faster than new domains.

aged domain: are you referring to a domain that has a certain "age" e.g 1 year, 5 years, 7 years etc... probably never been dropped? Is this the same as auction domain?

expired domain: is this a dropped domain e.g you can register it for the regular price at any registrar?

depends what you're looking for. old domain? good backlinks? both? the age is time from last drop.
