As the title suggests, I'm looking for ways I can organically grow my Twitter followers.

For the last couple of days, I've been searching on Youtube to see if I can find a decent tutorial on how to get followers but I couldn't find anything helpful.

Any suggestion is welcomed.

Well it isn't easy at all, it requires time, good content and all of this depending on your niche, in my case I only have 11 followers and I created the account 3 days ago. My niche is adult content, I don't know if it makes it easier or not.

Some people do follow per follow, even tho I don't like that strategy it works quite well and you can automate it. As I said I don't use that tho. Interacting with people is a good way, replies etc. Using the right hashtags and the ones that are trending gives you many impressions so the chances of gaining followers increase as well. I would recommend taking notes of every hashtag that works well for you so you don't forget them. Another good way is paid promotion, you can do it by Twitter itself. However careful with this, there are many scammers with accounts full of bots that are't really effective nor organic growing.

I guess you already knew all of this but the best way is constancy and patience. Good Luck.

Thank you for the input, hope you get more followers for your adult account too.

I'd say do your main account manually, hashtags, good content, and follow your followers.

Comment on the comments you get, and if they are positive comments give a like to said comments.

Most users on Twitter post nothing and I believe actually LOVE to see a like or a comment from an account they follow.
It shows they 'exist'.

Don't get into flame wars with other accounts, it's pointless, just mute/block and move on.

After a while, I'd say minimum a month create your own accounts to retweet your tweets, be clever.
If your niche is lawnmowers RT stuff from other huge lawnmowers account so you just don't RT you main account, which would make it spammy

And no my niche isn't lawnmowers and nope, I won't say what my niche(s) are :)

try the basics How to increase your Twitter followers:
  1. Share relevant and useful content.
  2. Post visual content.
  3. Tweet consistently.
  4. Interact with others.
  5. Promote your @name everywhere you can.
  6. Tap into your existing customer base.
  7. Run a followers campaign.

Post useful, funny, interesting content. Share and promote your account on social media. Follow trends (this is very important as people who follow trends tend to find the accounts following the same trends on their home page) and lastly check out those trending tweets and make sure you add some of your own in them.

Many thanks for the write-up, can you please elaborate on "following trends" on Twitter?

In my experience,

always post content quality

engage with your followers and interact

use hashtags

participate in Twitter space, share your knowledge

follow these things, then you automatically gain followers.

The best advice I can give you is to make sure your best content is pinned and have the post notifications of big accounts in your niche on. Whenever these accounts tweet, reply to it.

I didn't know about Twitter space - Thanks a lot for sharing.

From my limited understanding, twitter's algorithm prefers consistency (daily posts at the same time, for example). This next tip has never been proven as far as I know, but from my research, emojis usually make a post perform better if done in moderation.
Visual content, images and replying to threads are also great ways.

The easiest way to gain visibility is actually through any interaction your tweets get, so try to involve your account in a lot of ongoing discussions about whatever may be relevant to your niche, even if you think you're inputting very basic information, it's a good place to start

A good profile firstly: your profile picture, bio, banner all need to be designed to draw people from your niche in and give them an idea of what to expect. Then, your pinned tweet should also have some good info in it or at least give more insight to the account for viewers.

At first you won't be getting many followers at all, so tweeting is fine but kind of pointless. Instead, find big accounts in your niche and reply to their tweets, a good way to do it is by "adding on" to what they have to say. If you are early and consistent, then you will gain followers slowly over time.

After that, find accounts similar to your size who do the same thing, and offer to boost eachothers posts by replying/liking/rting, do this with at least 30-50 accounts and you have a much bigger audience.

You can then get all of these people into a group chat where they will all retweet/like/reply to every members tweets when they make one. This is how some of the biggest accounts do it, I was in a gc like this which was dominated by 100-200k follower accounts.
You should also by this time try to get the bigger accounts in your niche down to take part in the group, as you will have a bigger audience so steady growth and should reach higher numbers very soon.

When you tweet, make sure it doesn't contain a link or a @ mention of someones username or less people will see it, try to include a topic name in the tweet that you want to trend for if it's possible, and media is even better.

There is also the obvious way of getting into arguments for engagement, but that isn't good for long term and even isn't the best idea for short term.

That's some really good insight actually, thank you!

I'm not too active on Twitter, but I drive traffic from my TikTok account to my Twitter account and it is working well.

You're awesome Rakzs, this is going to help a lot.

It's either on Twitter or YT or Reddit or any other medium, stick to a niche keep post/interact with consistency. Make it as a thread rather than be singular anonymous posts that don't help your audience growth. Share inputs and proofs so the follower can have some beliefs against real impedance.

Pay bigger accounts to do promo and giveaways for you is the fastest way to grow your account on Twitter
