The content must have a minimum of 4k of words per article, you would need at least 5-10 articles per month, and in a few months, you can get to the point where you got like 2k-4k of organic traffic and even rank for the specific keywords, but that is not long lasting, since there is only a matter of time before someone starts doing link building for your keywords and outrank in

I think it works only in low competition niches. With high competition, you need to have backlinks. Else there will just be no authority.

So keep in mind that this update will penalize your website if you only write content for the purpose of site ranking. Also in this update Google ranks and support the websites that have high quality backlinks.

Yes, it will work if you pick an underserved topic and start with long tail, and low competition keywords.

The keyword is long tail (3 words).
according to semrush:
volume: 14.8k
KD: 51
The content is not that good.
the only trick here is that the domain is an aged domain.

I am also looking to add some real value to the topic, with a sort of case study that nobody else has done - the idea behind this being new content and ideas that Google has not seen before.

This point alone can beat 90% of the site as not many sites out there with original research.
