Heya,

I have been using Spanel, but just wondering if any of you use any different free alternative to cpanel?

Centos WebPanel Pro is good they have a free version with some limits and Pro version for just $1.49 USD per month or $11.99 USD for a year which comes with unlimited accounts.

aaPanel is good free panel. It is easy to use and have good community forum for get answers for problem. It also keep come updates.

AAPanel seems very nice.

Are there any big restrictions on the free version?
well linux its pretty versatil
so never had any restriction
u can configure nigx and all to use the max of your server / vps

Forget about all mentioned stuff. Plesk is the best and most advanced panel in the world. Very stable and everything is one click away. But its very expensive, makes sense as its from same company of cpanel!

Well, here is a tip, use vultr and you will get plesk admin for free for 3 domains and 2 mega ram. For a 6$ vps, you won't need more than that.

Centos Web Panel is the best alternative.

Have a free version and a pro version for 1.49$, but for 1.49$ is cheap, and offer a lot of features like cPanel.

I think this topic has 2 sides at least.
First, clients' side. I'm sure any client who is paying for the service want to have a control panel with friendly interface and have opportunity to manage it easily. For some clients it might take a while to master new control panel.
Second. Providers' side. It is a dilemma, because from one hand they need to shorten their spending on licenses (to make hosting services price-attractive) and from the other hand have their clients mastered new control panel easily to avoid creating lots of support requests like :
- how do I add email?
- how do I add domain?
and the others.
