Nice graphics are a good way to cement a visual identity for your business. But what is considered a nice graphics these days? Is it something dazzling? Some say that dazzling graphics make strong visual content, the one that can communicate a certain message immediately. I agree, but it seems that sometimes the idea of a "strong visual content" is being taken too far. For example a flashy banner which is basically a little square with a dozen of different bright visual components can become an annoying sign of poor taste, not a strong visual content as one would hope.
On the other hand you can have simple graphics. I guess people underestimate them. Yes, it's true that this type of graphic can be unnoticed, if placed next to some dazzling ones, but when designed well it can have one focal point that makes the image effective in reaching the audience. Simple, clean and beautiful aesthetics can still catch the user's eye as they're scrolling.
So I would say there should be some type of golden mean between the stunning bright style and something more simple and sophisticated. What do you think and which style do you prefer for your business representation?
