Sooo, Adsterra Ads fucked my webpages. As I said before: "I added 3 banners (top, sidebar and below content)". Which in my browser and my tests everything was showing correctly. Then today I woke up to this:



All visits were down, and I was not appearing on the SERPS. Analysing in GSC:



Which means, my fear of poor hosting was correct. The adsterra ads made the website slower than the google threshold.

I have removed all adsterra ads and preparing to move to a proper hosting ASAP.

That CPM is very low, isnt it (should i give more time for the ads to display the proper ads?) My geo traffic is mainly tier 2 countries (spain, france, germany...). I added 3 banners (top, sidebar and below content) Maybe I need to add more?

I am planning to start same niche website on another language (english) and see how it goes. I will create the website locally using WAMP and then transfer it to a live server. This way it is much more faster to deploy.

Be carefull with Adsterra there is a lot of malware campaigns there, and your site can get f..d fast. Saying this from personal experience.

I wouldn't say that page speed made your site disappear from SERPs. Site speed is a ranking factor, but it's not that big to make such a drop. I think the problem lies somewhere else.

That sudden drop in traffic is in no way related to ads.

What actually happened is this:

• you posted 100k articles
• google indexed a huge portion of it
• google tested out your position in the serp
• google moved all those ranking links all the way back of the line
• google will slowly move them up in the next weeks or months

in GCP, if you select location as Oregon or Iowa, and select the E2 - micro instance, even though it's listed as $7, it will be free / lifetime.

It's enough to run lamp + caching + cloudflare on it.
During my tests, it can easily stand for 20k hits/day

I think it's a publicity stunt if anything.
It's a 0.25 core with 700mb of ram, so it costs them pennies.

But does the job for a small LAMP stack with caching.

I have an account on spamzilla thats how I got the domain. But the domain per se was just expired.
