how to get traffic for particular keywords ?

Hello Team, I got a project for SEO from a client ( I am a Wordpress Developer, has little bit knowledge on SEO. But can't leave this project).

Keyword Research is done from SEM Rush and I have list of keywords that need to get traffic for website.

Now my questions are:
1. How to get traffic for particular Keywords?
2. On Page SEO is done with meta description and keywords and has score of 94% in SEMRush
3. Any approximate time to get the position tracking changes ( I said, it will take time but client is asking approximate time )

May be I have few more questions to ask after you guys started helping me.

I am using SEM Rush only. Paid Version.

You should go over them manually and see what they did. What's their keyword density, if you can improve their article, and the length of the content. How many links they have for each page and which links.
Tools are great for checking backlink profiles, but they are no substitute for leg work.

Analyze Site's Ranking on Page 1 for your Targetted Keyword

Competitor's Site backlink Strategy, Content Strategy, how many pages they have, etc

Secondly, Find Long Tail Keywords of your Targetted keywords

Use these long tail keywords on your backlinks Like in Title, H2, H3 and anchors as well

Then if you see SERP movement in 2-3 weeks , then scale it , if you don't see movement you need to change strategy or else you need more powerful Backlinks

KW research using just SEO tools is never enough, you should do your background check.

Even if, I feel going for Semrush KD of anything above 10 for a new site is an overkill unless you are very very sure and ready to spend on some links.

If you target pretty long kws with very low competition, let's say kws whose SERP are filled with forums and social networks with other sites not really targeting them, then you stand a chance to rank.

In a nut shell, don't depend on KW difficulty from those tools, they calculate it in different ways, also don't believe all Search volumes you see, 0 - 50 SV could give you a huge amount of traffic.

So, carry out your KW research and optimize the post so so well and with your clients, remember to underpromise so you have a safety net.
