Hey everyone..

I have a site which is making around 55$ on average each month off Adsense.

The site has 18k to 20k users monthly where 98% of traffic is organic.

Its a site to check the price of some specific items from a fastfood place.

I have received an offer of 1350$ from someone who wants to buy it.

Its a little under 2 Years of passive earnings, but I am not really working on the site anymore.
The backlink value is pretty much 0.

But I am unsure..

What would you do?

Depends on many things:
  • Is it US traffic or not?
  • What is the traffic curve? Currently growing, decreasing, etc?
  • Do you have any better use for the money? Obviously $1,350 isn't much, but you're certainly not going to buy another asset generating $55/month passively with that money :).
  • Do you see any room for growth for the website? Like adding more fast food chains with prices, and growing the traffic.
  • How do you feel about the website personally? Do you like it, or do you prefer to get rid of it and simplify your portfolio?
  • Is this a content website, with XY number of articles, or is it simply some tool/utility, 1 page website?
In general though, if the income is passive and you have done absolutely nothing with the website in last 12months, I'd say $1350 isn't a good enough offer for the income it generates...

  • Traffic is Tier 1 Scandinavian country.
  • Traffic is stable and has been for about 2 years.
  • I would be able to double my savings account, but I am not in dire need of the money right now.
  • Overall, it should be possible to grow the traffic with maybe 10% to 15% more by adding a specific page I havent added yet.
  • I spend less than 10 min on the site monthly, its a tiny bit out of date but if I spent an hour or so, then I could update it. Not sure if traffic would be affected or not. Better quality info, so would prop be better.
  • Its basically a utility/tool with 2-3 pages being checked by users.
I cant add other fastfood chains, the domain is the main keyword for a specific chain.

On one side, id simply wanna sell because I dont really care about the site itself, just the simple income. I also have another project which is more active that I just started. Ill be needing to write articles and start working on social media for that page as well.

i would to sell if you dont plan to scale the site earnings
$1350 is more than 2 years earnings from this site

If you don't work on the site there is a risk that Google will throw it down in the next two years (time to earn $1350).
You better sell it in my opinion.

In my opinion with those adsense sites there is always problem to sell with reasonable price, but there is also not easy to make stable monthly proft. So if You don't have idea how to use cash from selling site I would personaly stay with passive income.

Depends if you have a place to invest the 1350$ or not

it depends on your aims for the site, if you have not many https://www.blackhatworld.com/javascript%3A; on it maybe sell it will be better ,if your dream is set up a site succefully you should be insist, as dream gennerally need time and energy for a succesfu site:)

Just Sell it 'cause if you don't keep improving the site you won't get more income.
ONLY keep it If you can dedicate the time to add more functionality, add a blog and offer more value.

A clean website with stable 20k monthly traffic is way more valuable than $1350 IMO. You can reconsider the ways it is monetized right now or try growing it even more.

However, if selling it is what you want, I think you can find offers bigger than $1350. Check Facebook groups.

You are probably right, my issue is just that its a Scandinavian language, so that makes it a little harder to sell. Or am I wrong?

If you can invest the money into the new project, and it has a greater potential, then perhaps it makes sense to sell it. But I would still aim for a price closer to $2K. You can try making a counter offer to the person who sent you the initial offer.

With this kind of traffic why don't you enabled ezoic?

With this traffic, you should earn more than 55$ per month.
A good idea OP, definitely worth an experiment. I also feel that 20K organic visitors from Scandinavian country should earn more than $55, but of course it also depends on how long they stay on the website... If the typical stay is <1 minute (they just check a price tag of one or two items and leave), the earnings can be reasonable.

I'd personally see it as an advantage.
Less competition definitely, if the site isn't in English. Sure, also less options for growth, but think about it in this way (if you were in a shoes of a buyer):

What could I buy for $1,300 or $2000 that will generate $55/month (or even more with improved monetization) passively? It isn't easy find such a deal.

If you can't scale the revenue, sell it and start over in a different niche

Please sell it and invest in some high end project where you earn minimum 100 $ average each month.

Sell it now my brother, because your not working on it and who knows the future traffic, so sell it.

Use Ezoic or propellerads
Propellerads? You must be joking mate :D :D :D. Only people who cannot get accepted into Adsense, and all other worse networks, go with Propeller ads, since that's really the last option, and the worst paying one....

Ezoic is a good idea though, and maybe OP can try it.
