If you cant afford a loss from your capital,then you are better off not getting started at all, because loosing some and winning some is part of the trading game and sometimes you cant be 100% sure which you will get first. I recommend you rather to invest in providing services of some sort. That way, your capital is preserved until you make a sale in which of course, profit is embedded.

Once you have 6 months of saving you start to invest trying to diversify the investment as much as possibile.
Also you should not invest in things you don't understand. There are 72728282 crypto tokens and 98% are trash.
You should invest for long term holding and be able to live without that money.

Please don't do silly things, the basic tips on how to invest are out there, everywhere.
You just need to follow them.

It's not too late.

Volatility is no joke. Don't trade if you have no experience, invest. The difference is time. Trading is short term. You invest and take profit in a few years.

My personal recommendation is to put money in projects that will be here in a few years. Some examples are Ethereum, Cosmos and Zcash. I don't trust Bitcoin.
