scrapebox only gets 2 - 8 results per page

i think this might be an easy question for someone to answer,

but when im scraping yahoo.com with scrapebox, instead of 10 results per page, it gets sometimes literally hundreds of pages of results at 2 - 8 results per page, why is it doing this & why are they different amounts per search ?
always the same amount of results per search, but sometimes it only gets 2 results per page, but does literally hundreds of pages.

do you mean the queries or the query results ?

the queries are the "official" footprints for gsa ser (in speechmarks) (that you can download from gsa ser+ random search terms

i.e. footprints of the cms's

Have you typed that into yahoo search manually

they are the "official" footprints for gsa ser, please see above post, if you dont use these, the percentage of sites it gets goes down enormously

The footprints that come with SER are junk. You need to make your own footprints. SER has footprint studio if you don’t know how to do it yourself.

ok, just to make sure were talking about the same thing, on gsa, go to

options at top
click "tools" on right
select "search online for urls
select all the engines you want etc , when it has finished , copy & paste the footprints


is this the footprints you are saying are junk ?

Yes. I’ve been using SER since 2013 and scraping my own lists with scrapebox since then too. The footprints in SER don’t return many results. You’d be better off buying a list and forgetting about scraping if those are the footprints you’re going to use.

The footprints that come with SER are junk. You need to make your own footprints. SER has footprint studio if you don’t know how to do it yourself.

This is the key. The default footprints have been hammered to death by years of SER users, you really need to come up with your own footprints to get anywhere. But most SER users don't lift a finger and want it all done for them.

i watched the video on youtube & searched on the gsa forum, & you have to do each engine/platform individually, so if you are using say 200 out of the 300 approx, them you have to do it 200 times ?


i saw on the gsa forum it said limit it to the first page of results, that will filter out a lot of the junk results

You’re going to want to create your own footprints for better results by comparing different sites from the same engine and seeing what text is the same among those sites and using that as a footprint.

I only use a handful of engines in SER. It’s not that big of a deal to make footprints for the best engines. Most of the stock engines are broken/failing to post when they shouldn’t be, or the CMS is dead anyway (no point in using a dead CMS)

You’ll have to learn to fix engines eventually too lol

SER is not a point and click solution to backlinks

i dont know how many years i have left & i have things i still want to do before i pass.

ok, i see that as a better solution, but i dont know where i would draw the line as to which engines to use & which not to use,
wordpress for definite because its the biggest platform, but the more you limit the number of platforms used the more you are putting up footprints that the links are auto-created

you mentioned before about buying lists in.

i have had experience of buying gsa lists & the gsa lists are a big disapointment, & they say the same on the gsa forum

i just looked at the most common sites that are getting to be verified out of the scraped sites & will make footprints based on these
