Bulk texting?

Hi
Was wondering...say if i had thousands of text message credits. (bare in mind theres no sms gateway for my country)
And i built up a list of phone numbers for people in my country. (via some sort of submit type site i'd say..)
How to monetize this?
Was thinking maybe nationwide companies buying mass texts, cpa offers + link to my site?, or random vouchers (freely available on the internet)/cpa submits?

Any other thoughts?

Yeah a CPA offer would be the best - Something like Free iphone etc
Massively dangerous though as most countrys have tight spamming laws these days that will throw you in the slammer for a SMS spam

I was thinking that as long as i'll remove them if they reply STOP it should be okay regarding spam laws...as that's the standard keyword way to stop...
Maybe mention it at the bottom of the linked site...(i'd prefer to avoid putting it in the actual text for obvious reasons...) but still respect any STOP requests anyway. (use this as a backup/loophole maybe..)

As i'm using an online based sender, the number of character is limited to 50 per sms. Do you have any idea how to monetize this DB ? (was thinking of something related to sportsbook, but conversion from mobile -> internet would be very low )

Hi, firstly can I ask what online service are you using? Just looking up different services/methods and gonna compile a list.
Regarding conversion rate...I have no real idea about that.Maybe someone with more experience might chime in here.
I'd say, depending on your message/topic you could be pushed to get a decent conversion rate with a bit of work.
A mobile based site would also be another idea...however how many CPA networks would have a system/offers designed for mobile users? Very few, if any I'd bet at this moment in time.
Mobile seems like it could be the next big thing, if done correctly.

You can look for service providers who are interested in live feeds.

Interesting idea.
Some countries/networks (most over here) don't have that type of system i don't think
Thoughts:
How long would it take to generate/send to all possible numbers?
What sort of failure rate would there be?
Maybe they'll have some sort of anti-spam detection implemented and you'll get screwed after a few thousand messages? (or a few thousand failed messages...probaly throw up a large flag in their system)
Possibly reported for spam? (if they noticed tens of thousands...if not hundreds...of failed message...and then a large number of unsolicited messages which are delivered..including the same text....might report you to any anti-spam regulators or maybe even prostecute?)

I think generating possible numbers would be risky for the above reasons...anyone got any more thoughts?

Most US carriers have systems to detect and delete spammers. They'll just kill your send before you ever get any serious number of texts out and all without saying anything to you or notifying you in any way.

And even if you slip by their systems, it doesn't take but a few complaints to get your messages sent to the trash bin without being sent. The carriers aren't going to risk losing customers to spammers and they're deadly serious about it.

If you're not going through a registered sms gateway and playing by MMA rules, you're pretty much toast before you start. Basically, play by the rules or don't count on playing at all.
