I see a few of these TikTok accounts with lots of followers and views etc.. but can't figure out how they are monetizing their channel.

Anyone got any ideas?

Not sure if I can post the links so will just list the account names

they all seem to be using similar backgrounds and the r/AskReddit sub mainly

I think some of these social media accounts are not run with monetization in mind but as fun projects. They might be owned by some campus dude who has a lot of free time and no bills to pay. I think the goal is for them to build a large enough following that they can start to endorse products...or eventually sell off the accounts to the highest bidder. Who knows?

I think it's the same case as any re-uploading-content-account at instagram and twitter. They want to gain big followers and then sell the account or endorsing some big products or make more "child account" to make the follower even bigger so they can easily sell anything.

Some of these accounts have nearly 1 mil followers but most are in the 300k+ surely these guys aren't doing this for fun are they? I'm just wondering what you could promote with askreddit snippets

I see how selling the account can be a driver but then the questin still remains. I'm sure that if a person is going to by an account they will want to do it for monetization so we are back at the original question of how to monetize an account like this.

Maybe for fun at first but then the channel keep growing and they have the same question as you right now

At some point, they will just sell the TikTok account and create a new account.

They can promote CPA offers with free giveaways.

I am thinking that they just start for fun and now they grow very fast and maybe now they can sell their accounts

Same reply though who will buy an account if they can't make money from it.

They do it for fun, and they get famous then make there youtube channel

well the guy put his email up there

perhaps you can email him and ask him how he is monetizing his account?

they simply don't monetize them haha.

Or they delete video and change niche of channel

Depends what country you are from too I guess, but creator fund is not available where I am. Hard to believe im in a tier 1 country too

these people are not doing it "for fun". its for profit. i follow pages like the aforementioned. a few of them brung up the topic. they are getting paid. but we don't see any sponsored posts or links in bio. so how? most likely, i am 99% sure here...its the tiktok creator fund. you need minimum amt of views or folllowers to get in. then they pay you per likes/views.
but like youre thinking there is much more $ to make by doing commercial posts and links in bio and that sort of stuff. well some people are very afraid of "selling out" their audience. remember 99% of people are clueless to internet marketing and they are happy with what they can get.

This is what I think.

I was in a discord and was having a discussion and a few people in there said they were doing sponsorship and shout outs. I said that's BS I haven't seen one of those channels with a sponsorship video or shout out video.

I asked them to link to a channel or video to prove it and they wouldn't do it said to go look harder lol.

I have seen at least 30 or so askreddit accounts and not one I saw has sponsorship or shout out videos..
