Do engagement pods still work for IG or even TikTok?

I remember they used to be a huge thing back in the day

Eg. Share your post in the group chat and everyone shares it to their followers.

OnlyFans models seem to be doing it like crazy on social media, but haven’t seen anyone else… Thoughts?

Back in the day I used to do engagement pods while I were at the gym, but those I was in had rules that I hade to like e.g 50 posts before I could post mine etc.

Models are crazy with this, I see it everyday on instagram. They aren't following eachother either

Nice. Have they died down in your experience? Models love it, but I don’t see anyone else doing it (Could be wrong as maybe big pages do it with each other or it’s more discreet)

also, are they effective and the algorithm doesn’t punish you for using an engagement pod somehow?

I would use it solely to get more followers to get accs to post me on their story

As mentioned earlier I have not been using it for some time as it was really time consuming for me, but it did work out well then.

I don't know how the alogrithm is today about using engagement pods, sorry
