Had a root canal this morning

Had a root canal this morning. Came home, slept.

Didnt sleep good. There was an asshole with a huge drill downstairs drilling something. But i managed to fall asleep somehow.

But then a bunch of stupid kids gathered like under my balcony, screaming and playing. Woke me up. I closed all the windows and shutters and doors and everything.

But by now the anaesthetic wore off, and i was in pain. So i took a pill. These pain pills i have expired last year. But they still work, as luck would have it

Went back to sleep. Slept. Woke up. Did a bit of work or whatever. And now im just totally demotivated. Im having a bit of pain, tooth, ear, throat, on the right side where the root canal was done. Its not the type of pain where i need a doctor, its just that annoying kind. And i dont wanna take another pill. I only take pain pills if i absolutely must. Which is almost never. Thats why the ones i have are like 3-4 years old, and expired a year ago.

Anyway, so i cant do shit right now (unless i got paid thousands of dollars of course, then id do it haha). So all i can do is make this thread

How are you guys doing today?

I'm good here just finished drilling a big hole in my apartment wall, the noise was insane i hope i didnt disturb anyone. Will be back at it again at 7am tomorrow to finish.

@Scorpion Ghost On a more serious note I wish a swift recovery on the root canal, i have had a couple myself and I fully understand the discomfort it causes.

Yeah it sucks. And because I'm so fucking special, turns out I have 4 roots in that tooth. The dentists says every 15-20th person has 4 roots, most have 3.

Great. So that's an extra root canal that has to be cleaned out and be a pain in the ass

I think it's the first stage, but it's my second visit.

The first visit the dentist removed the old filling, took an x-ray, and put something in for 10 days. But he didn't go in to clean the canals with the needles and the spinning and the drilling.

The second visit, yesterday, we did the whole needles thing. In the end he put in calcium hydroxide (i think that's what he said) and closed it up. I go again in 10 days.

So there you go.

I've had root canals in the past with little to no pain after.

But this one is a big tooth, with 4 roots or whatever. Plus one of the roots sort of bends a bit down at the bottom, so he had to push through that. I could hear it in my brain every time he would push through the bending at the end. Had to be done, has to clear it up all the way down to the bottom. I would imagine that's the one that hurts

Ouch that does sound incredibly painful. My advise would be to take a few days off and go on a vacation to a place with less noise. You’re going to have an incredibly short temper for the next few days.

You sound like my sister. But seriously, she goes on like this daily, throwing fists in the air because of kids near the balcony, heheh.

Get better soon! Dear god, this thread motivates me to move my ass, I need to actually stand up and go wash my teeth or something. But yeah, I'm thinking about some teeth health strategies, need to up my game a bit... Time to order some weird herbal tooth powder, one of these sonic toothbrushes and shilajit pills.
