Is IPV6 good?

i been using IPV4 for a long time doing automation, and i found that IPV6 proxy is much cheaper than IPV4 but the question is IPV6 good for automation "Linkedin"
and is IPV6 good at all or better i keep using IPV4?

IPv6 is not better or worse than IPv4, it is just a different writing format for the same thing that allows for more unique combinations.

The bad thing is that people do not understand how it works.
With IPv4, most people would know that 111.111.111.1 is in the same subnet as 111.111.111.2 and that this could be bad.

With IPv6 it is the same thing but with a string like this 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334 nobody knows what is good or not because they have no clue.
A provider gets assigned a block and can generate millions of different IPv6 addresses and users think it is unique.
Big companies like Facebook have figured it out already how it works, they know immediately what IPv6 belongs to which provider and ban you quickly if you use the same subnet.

Don't let yourself get scammed with IPv6.

It is being told for decades, but majority of sites are still under IPv4.

Here the world data centres and domain servers still works with IPv4, IPv6 is predominantly used in mobile edge services mainly for easy switchover or hauling services. Even that bunch of IPv6 is used at mobile consumer end, it is masked or dual stacked in to IPv4 when it enters the class domain routing.

Let's say if a service is enabled by a proxy provider with IPv6 and servicing the needs, their backend stacking is routed to IPv4 to switch over between both Intra and Inter domain routing in ISP autonomous systems.

Yes, you are absolutely right. IPV6 proxies are good. However, there is a catch. There is no guarantee that you would get IPV6 IP with a specific proxy device. They are assigned randomly by mobile towers. So, that's that.
Try your luck by posting in the "Want to Buy" section, mentioning that you need a provider that only provides IPV6, someone might ping you up.

IPv6 are often not residential but dcs, they also have high ban rates due to many, many IPs being generated from one subnet (IPv6 subnets are huge and given away for free by most cloud providers), a website/cdn will detect malicious activity from multiple IPs and ban the whole subnet they come from.
Good ipv6 providers mix IPs from different subnets.

I have had very little luck with IPv6 - mainly due to the challenges associated with their current links to big Data Centers vs residential as many have pointed out on this thread. I guess it depends on the use case -- where I have had success with these types of proxies is on backend work with my server infrastructure.

It would not be instantly recognized by the SM, generally speaking it takes suspicious activity from both addresses to get flagged fast.
To get an entire subnet flagged usually it takes more than 2 IPs matching the type of operations, let's say you're scraping a search engine, if out of a /24 range (256 IPs) 30 IPs are all doing the same thing (sending GET requests and scraping results), then the whole subnet is rate-limited/banned.

If the site you want to automate supports IPv6, without a doubt, it is better to use IPv6
