I used Template Kits from Envato Elements to build a website for my client. But I got a complaint from the client, he said I deliver the first demo too quick(I deliver him within 2 hrs) and he said I pick the template to build the website for him. He doesn't accept the site that builds from the template.

Have anyone got this situation before? And how do you handle it?

Thanks

If you bought the template, then is perfectly legal. You should also send the license to your client. If he asked you to pick a template, you should have shown him before you bought it.

Probably you charged him too much, for 2 hours of work.

On average it takes me 1-2 years to build a website, not 2 hours.

What 1 - 2 years? Really?

a 100% original website wher you code each line with no template, yeah not weird.
you need couple of line only to put a header, not to mention usualy client as you build custom admin panel for it. (CSS/java or python/php/html) it use multiple language. now do this one complex site you can guess how long it take . even normal blog site will take couple of weeks
it's simple honestly you client want pure site with no template how much budget he have.

If you said you'll set up their site from scratch and used a template, then it's not what they paid for.
As long as you didn't say you'll build or design them a site from scratch, you're in the clear.

Years. Those aren't the usual Wordpress sites.
I really doubt that this is the type of sites OP is talking about.

If you can build an entire website from a template in 2 hours I want to hire you.

It is legal to recreate elements similar to those on another site using custom code.

Don't deliver projects too fast. You can occasionally point out a problem you are facing(bugs) and you are trying very hard to fix.

Next time , do the same and deliver the work in 2 weeks altough you finished in 2 hours .

It can be done
That will be a small easy fast website, I normaly spend 16-20 hours on a normal client site with not to much customization. Sure, you can go with an almost stock template with no customizations in 2 hours and a pissed off client .. =)

- Build website in 2 hours.
- Change Skype status to "working really hard to build website X".
- Wait 10 days and deliver.

All your customers will be happy.
