Is it possible to transfer an AdSense account?

I want to buy an adsense account from someone (not on bhw)
he says he will add my gmail as an admin, and remove his own.
is this how you transfer an adsense? can he get back the account later?

Always get Adsense with first gmail. Even if everything changes, if the adsense ID is approved, there are ways to contact Google and get the accounts back. Do not do this.

Yes, that is how it's transferred. The new email would be added and given admin rights, then the previous one would be removed.

Some people ask for the entire Gmail account though.
