Imagine for a second there was a service that could streamline all your backlinking tasks - at a price so low it wouldn't be worthwhile doing it manually. You'd configure it to get links using the process you currently use, get credits and sit back as your entire (or part) of your backlinking process is automated.

Here's how it would work

1) Specify the service(s) you want

- Social bookmarking
- XRumer blast
- Manual Forum posts
- Automatic Blog commenting
- Manual Blog commenting
- High PR Profile creation
- Posting to article directories
- Posting to blog farms
- Directory submission
- Posting to web2.0 properties and interlinking them without leaving footprints

2) Configure the service you've chosen to automate. For example you could configure it to:
- Get links one or more URLs
- Get a different number of links each day. Set Min and Max.
- Use different anchor text for each link
- Use articles with spin syntax
- Generate articles on Random web2.0 properties, interlink them randomly and after each account is created, ping them and bookmark them.

3) Get an exact report of what has been done for you. This would include URLS, usernames, passwords, times etc

I'd like to get feedback from BHW member on what would make this "must have".
What reservations would you have? What price would you pay? Also anyone interested in getting involved in this as a project - please message me.

I would want to see verifiable stats on what linking structure will cause the most SE success, then I want that structure offered to me domain wide. Dripped. Pay-as-you-go.

I would have to agree with "whatisthis". It would be nice to have a list of ranking packages available in addition to the ability to order services a-la-cart.

There are some people offering guaranteed top 10 ranking services in various webmaster forums, I have ordered a few. So something like, if the keyword is under 1 million competition I might pay $199 for a top 10 position within 3-6 months. This would be a nice feature for your service as well, but the key here would be to keep the price fairly low and affordable for small time webmasters as well as the big dogs.

Sometimes all I need is a quick manual comment package to send me over the top, but other times I need the works.

That would be totally bogus.. Since we dont know the whole SE algorithm you can NOT guarantee rankings.. And most who do this are scammers who are out for your money :p

I think you have laid out everything that would be needed for successful campaigns.. But you have to make it work reliably and fast.. Which is a bitch with automation..

Thanks to everyone that has replied so far. The feedback is invaluable.

I hope I understood you right. The best way to continue bulding links would depend on lots of factors. Are you competing against an authority site or competing against relatively new site with 100 backlinks? Maybe you need better on page optimization, maybe you need links from more diverse range of ip addresses, maybe you need links from more trusted sources. Maybe you even need more nofollow links cause google might detect too many **************** links as being an anomoly compared to their global data. The list goes on and on. There are two approaches I can could help people choose the best path for them

1) A general guide about backlinking that works
2) Expert analysis (to the degree that anyone can be an expert on predicting which way the google wind will blow next. All you will ever have is informed opinion)

Thanks for you input.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'd be a bit reluctant to offer such a service because of the perception many may have about it's merits. I think most people would be sceptical, they might think it's a kind of bait-and-switch scheme where newbies end up being ranked for a long tail keyphrase that nobody is searching for. Also you'd be at the mercy of unscrupulous vendors who might compete with you after you've funded their market test. In the end most people experience in seo will know that seo is like playing poker. With the right skillset you can turn the odds massively in your favour but you won't win every hand.

Great observation. For the most part, things would be semi-automated. Real people would be involved in at least part of most of the services. But i'm a believer in systems. The reason most businesses fail is because of poor systems not because of human error. The system should have caught or minimised the error.

Thanks James, great contribution. I'll be looking into how to offer a minimum verifiable, guaranteed success rate for each service.

If it could be done on adult sites and took up zero minutes of my day other than emailing what I wanted I'd test it for $300/month up

Thats a decent idea. The most time consuming and boring part of building a site. Im myself thinking of ways to run away from link building.

My current plan is to hire a guy at my place, train him for a month and let it RIP.....

What i had envisioned is a pay per use service not a fixed monthly fee. Some services would be very inexpensive and some would cost a bit more. It would depend on how much human intervention was involved. The interface would be far easier and faster to use than email. Think of it as programming your employees to do exactly what you want, when you want it for a low price.

Yea, I agree, it's time consuming and tedious. The reason i'm looking at this in the first place is cause i've been hunting for something that can do this but i can't find anything.

Like dejanlesi said, accuracy, speed (turnaround time) and reliability are very important. If you can create something that fully automates the whole backlinking process at a very competitive rate, then it'd be very interesting.
