Is this increase in Blog traffic artificially created?

Did they buy backlinks? or were they in a sandbox?

They got 1-5K monthly visitors for approx 6 months then skyrocketed to 20K then over 100K a month in less than a month.

Can this be obtained by simply purchasing guest posts from strong DR websites?

This seems fairly cut & dry.

How that graphic reads to me is that they started the website or their site first appeared on the SERPs in 2018. Within 4 years time, they skyrocketed. They're on the first 100 results for over 100k keywords.

Now, they could have bought PPC ads or synthetic traffic at first, but that website is still in the SERPs for that many keywords.

They were clearly not very successful up to 2020-2021ish.
i wonder what happened to have that graph skyrocket that sharply.

So, they casually moving and then immediately started shooting up. Could be a number of things. Bought backlinks, good indexing, large amount of social media traffic, paid ads, all of the above.

You see somewhere at the end of 2020/middle of 2021 they starting shooting straight up? Their keywords did this as well.

Honestly, I don't know what it is, but what it looks like to me is an SEO campaign taking off.

Take a closer look:
