Likes but no follows

So my Instagram posts are getting a lot of likes but the likers are not turning to followers. Is it wise to DM some of them saying "thanks for liking yadda yadda yadda please follow"? Or should I just follow them and hope for a follow back? Thanks for anyone that responds.

Probably mostly bot likes. If they are real people and your account is real, sure message them, but that's very time consuming.

This is true

If your post gets likes that are real, there'll usually be some kind of other engagement as well. Posts like this

Are botted comments and spam so don't expect anything from that. To prevent this use hashtags that are less common, goodluck!

This might be the better route as you are giving them something first- a goodwill gesture, and they are more likely to follow back this way. This could just be like the manual follow/unfollow method and don't forget to target followers from similar niche-based/ content-based accounts.

from random people. just keep doing what your doing
and the followers will come .

You should try them to follow ,
If they are liking means they are showing interest in your account. There is huge chance that the people will follow back.

If you get likes - that meant that your content is interesting. Just keep doing what you're doing and the followers will come.

I would never contact people who like my posts. First of all it's a bunch of work and 2nd it will probably lead nowhere
since these likes might not even be real. What you can do though is check the likes manually and follow the ones that look real.
When it comes to DM's there is a limit of daily dms you can send so dont waste them. You can send outreach dm's to new people based on your targeting.

However you can follow them and wait for follow back also you can buy followers from other sites to attract them.

If you can't follow all of them, then you could just like some of their posts. Many will even follow you just for that.

You can easily understand if a page is bot or real. If it has so many following but less followers, if there is no profile picture the account probably fake.. Dont expect any engagement from that accounts bcs that comments are sending from the system. But if you think that the account is real you can follow them or DM them to make them follow you

Messaging to that accounts is very time consuming and I dont recommend it, you can follow them or bulk like their posts to make them realize you. After a while they will start following.
