How to avoid reused content demonetization

These 2 things clearly trigger the reused content algorithm

- copyright claims
- clips taken from other YT videos

If you have zero copyright claims and do not use clips from other youtube videos, are there other things that can trigger reused content?

Unfortunately, YouTube's bots mess up on this all of the time. A friend who only did livestreams got hit with it when he applied to be monetized so he appealed and won. A group of creators got hit with it in 2018 and most of them were approved on the appeal. YouTube still hits channels with it constantly that are fine. Always fight it if you have changed up the content in youtube's eyes as having significant originality. "channels that repurpose someone else's content without adding significant original commentary or educational value" comes from the adnsense TOS and it means you can use content that you have permission to use as long as you change it up and always give the permissions requested by the original creator if necessary.

Don't use any images downloaded from google at all. Go through the proper channels to use images or take them yourself.

As far as clips taken from other YT videos, if these are each of LESS THAN 15 seconds, then YT does not consider it as copyright violation.

I don't know about that. I had posted Night of the Living Dead which has no copyright because in the 60s you had to have a notice on the movie. Just a few seconds of a song was flagged in youtube by a producer on CD Baby who tried to claim copyright. I got a strike for it and fought it. I eventually won, but it was such a PAIN. I also had another one where some company in India claimed about 3 seconds of a bonfire I used in a video where I had permission from Stephen King to tell it. I won the claim, but it ruined the stats for that video. I swear companies claiming false copyright should be banned from the platform. YouTube even says not to rely on the 15 rule.
