FB Ads question please...

Hi all,

After reading Ryan Diess's FB Adpower, I tried a few niche ads (targeting dog owners).

It's been up a little over a day and I got 2000 impressions with no clicks. I tried a slight variation which just got approved so I'm waiting on those results.

But my question is if 2000 impressions is a few, or a lot (in the FB world). Should I be discouraged and try some more variations, or is this a normal amount of impressions with no clicks?

BTW, my CPC spend is $.030

Similar thing is happening to me. Got about 2,700 impressions with no clicks, and after several hours the numbers haven't changed much. It seems to me that if you don't get anay clicks then your ad just doesn't show anymore.

I used Facebook Ads for a few car insurance sites of mine. Over 20,000 impressions, 3 clicks, no conversions.

Haven't used Facebook Ads since. I'm sure someones had a good experience with them though.

WOW!!! I sure hope that's not common among all FB ads! Had you done any other ads with similar results?

2,000 impressions in "FB World" is NOTHING! You do understand facebook is the 2nd biggest site in the world, according to Alexa anyway. The thing with facebook is, if you don't get a high enough CTR, they usually dont want to show your ad. So, check your suggested bid on those ads that aren't getting any impressions, it most likely went higher. Good luck.

Yeah, I recommend trying a bunch of different pictures.

try setting it to cost per click and put your bid to the highestest average

they will start showing your ads more. once you get a couple of click then you can re adjust.

or another trick is to make like 10 different copies of your ad. what happens is that facebook will show your ad and if no clicks then it get shoved down for rotation etc.

so what will happen is that youll have 10 of the same ads getting tested meaning you will have 10 times the impressions before they adjust your ad position.

You can do that over and over

Well, had 2 similar ads going. They ran for 2 days and I got 120,000 impressions total ($50) with 120 clicks and NO conversions (thru Clickbank).

just make sure to put in a lot of keywords in the keyword section to make it really targeted

if you go below 0.010% then you should be worried


either way...if it costs you 20 bucks for 100 clicks...and you're going to convert 1 sale at 50 bucks then its' worth it

another thing

the picture....you can put a dog looking up or someone pointing up or looking up

I jumped of the boat, Jod. That video is just like all the other crap being sold at the WF, they make is look so easy, but in real life it is just a waste of time and money.

Getting people to the landing page is no problem. The problem is that facebook traffic converts like shit.

everyone's issue is getting clicked on...that's the first part everyone is writing..


FB ads just like every other network....doesn't work for everything

i tried clickbank and azoogle....only been making a small amount of money


you need a great squeeze page to go to the landing page of the vendor to get decent conversions.
i have been fixing my page with a better sales copy
i have also tried to put the same color look/feel of the product landing page so it's not a huge difference when they click on my link to go to the product page


i also tried text links which has a higher CTR than banners....and using them inside the content

the thing with facebook is that its like a big party. you need a squeeze landing page to take the user from the facebook mindset of looking at other ppls pictures etc etc to stop and really really want what you are offering.

also night time has better conversions then day.
