Interesting answers. Considering the fact that I am a writer myself, and together with my colleagues I run a small company, I can honestly say it is not easy to stay motivated every single day. That is where discipline comes into play. Again, it depends if you are writing for your own blog - in that case I understand it is a lot different. A few years ago, I tried to run my own blog. Man, it was five times more difficult for me to figure out what to write since I was "my own client", I was ordering articles from myself, and it turned out I am not a good client at all.
One piece of advice I can offer, and it is based on my experience, is to take breaks. I used to do 1 hour ON, 30 minutes OFF, all day long till I finish the work. During the OFF periods I was not sitting in front of the computer, which is the whole point of these breaks. Take a walk, go to the supermarket, play with your pets... Good luck!
