Just got this email from Namecheap:

We are writing to let you know about an upcoming price change. On September 6, 2022, the .com registration price will increase.

To lock in the current price, make sure you register a .com before September 6, 2022.

We partner with many domain providers to bring you the widest range possible. But occasionally their prices increase, which means we need to increase our prices too.

Please be aware that the prices for renewals and transfers will also rise on these dates. If you would like to find out more information or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

So, do what you will with it. Imma probably extend all my domains for a year. Gives me a chance to get rid of some paypal balances too (fuck you paypal we all hate you), so it's all good.
