Hi,

I'm sort of ready (maybe by the end of feb, waiting for compete.com update my site status) to sell my site that currently receiving around 1.5K-3K UV per day.

The site being monetize with G Adwords + Clicksor, around $1.50 - $3.00 a day (G Adwords) while Clicksor's doesn't seems have much profits ($0.50) a day.

Alexa ranking is around 1M+
Site age: 4-5 months
Traffic sources: Organic from Google, #3 for the targeted KW, #1 for the second targeted KW

BTW I've seen almost similar sites being sold for $7000 and $5000 at flippa, cubestat estimated my site for $1K+ (Not updated for a month, maybe will hit $2K on estimation due to update at cubestat).

What's the starting price do you guys think? ($500? or just $1?)
What's the BIN price? (Thinking of $3.5K)
How long the duration auction listing? (2 Weeks?)

Thanks in advance!

$3,500 for a site that doesn't even make 100 bucks a month?
Not going to happen

What's the niche?

The almost similar site sold by other person was getting $66/month (AVG $2.20 a day) = $5K BIN Sold. My site is a facebook related niche. Thinking of finding CPA offers first, saw some CPA offers ($0.50 - $3.00+) per lead. But I need to sell this quick because I need quick money.

BTW thanks for the heads up.

$5K BIN Sold

Well, 90% of the sites I see similar to those pop up after a few days and give some BS excuse like "the buyer never responded to my emails"

I had to agree some of sites relisted couple of times even the site's sold. BTW I think both sites I saw sold on flippa are really sold.

$5K BIN sold (sorry, it was stated $88/month revenue):

Bidder 6 $4,999 Buy It Now Jan 30 Bidder 5 $3,000 Jan 28 Bidder 4 $2,700 Jan 28 Bidder 5 $2,500 Jan 25 Bidder 3 $2,250 Jan 24 Bidder 5 $2,000 Jan 24 Bidder 3 $1,700 Jan 22 Bidder 2 $1,600 Jan 20 Bidder 1 $1,200 Jan 18

P.s: Should I hold this site first (get more profits) or what's the BIN you think?

I'm on my blackberry so will keep this short. Start on 1 dollar to drum up interest. Front page feature the listing. 3.5k might work if you're lucky and get some interest early. Pm me with your sales thread and I'll make sure it sounds good.

I was thinking of $1 starting to get others attention as also been suggested in flippa's blog. This can increase the chance to make my auction get listed on most active listings.

I'm not preparing any sales thread for now because I'm waiting for compete.com to update my site details for Jan 2010.

BTW, thanks... will be PMing you later.

Yup, $1 start, no reserve never fails. (at least it never has for me)

Make it look good, perhaps sell some links through DP and put up some CPA offers before the sale so that you can not only bump up your average monthly revenue bigtime but also say that "the site has made $300 in this month alone" etc.

Good luck with the auction!

Just in the right time, compete.com updated my site details:

Adsense's Profits (Feb 1-16)
$21.58 +- (BTW, I think it is more because I think my adsense is messed up)

Clicksor's Profits (Feb 1-16)
$6.00 +

Well you can see there's kinda high in traffic, CPA Offers I found ($0.50 - $3.00+). Maybe can boost more profits from this site with this amount of traffic.

What do you think of this?

Thanks in advance!

Firstly, with 30k visits you should be able to make A LOT more than $20 with Adsense. Try optimizing your ad placement, and I would seriously look into CPA offers as well, as someone suggested above.

On another note, if you launched the site on 1st February then you'll want to wait at least until 1st March before you list it - the reason for it being simple: according to Flippa's new ruling, sites that are less than 1 month old are not allowed to claim any revenue.

He says it is 4-5 months old, no idea why he shows a couple of weeks as his stats

I suggest you try implementing CPA Offers. With that kind of traffic, more money can be made :)

Ah yes, just noticed it too - pardon my ignorance.

@OP: If that's the case then make sure that you post the revenue from all months your site has been live. Also note that the revenue box Flippa provides allows you to only list AVERAGE revenue (over the past 6 months) so if your site made $20 in Feb but only $1 in Nov, Dec and Jan then your monthly revenue will have to be listed as $5.75 (not $20).

I think, it is best for me to gain more profits from this site first (CPA Offers). So I can demand for more high price.

Sorry, I didn't show previous stats. FYI, the stats are almost same, around 1k UV a day.

What is the best CPA Offers do you think the best for Webfetti CPA?

Clickbooth?

Maxbounty has one of those zwinky toolbars, might want to give it a try

Will try, BTW I haven't tried any CPA. This could be my first time. Hopefully will get accepted by them :)

I don't have much time! I need to pay my outstanding loan RM8K or equal to $2.5K+-.

I have list the site couple of hours before, got few people asking for the reserve and BIN but I don't know how much am I going to set.

Few watchers watching it, do you guys suggest to set the reserve very low and set the BIN for now? I'm scared it will sell for very low price because I'm expecting more than $1K.

Thanks guys!

Don't worry about it going low - Flippa tends to pay a decent price - I've never been disappointed with my final price after listing for $1 start, no reserve. If you're not sure on the BIN, hold off for now. Make sure you message EVERYONE who expresses interest with a polite note regarding the sale.

Then with a day or so to go, once you've got some bids etc, whack up a BIN and message EVERYONE again telling them about your new amazing BIN price and they better hurry as you've got loads of interest. Works a treat - people love good communication and will be more likely to bite.

Good luck

So shall I say the reserve is $20 since there is a bid for $10? Going to PM you.
