Hi, I've been growing my two accounts in the past years with automation on Jarvee,
I've stopped for 2 years now and my followers and engagment never stops decreasing... I was around 2000 likes per original content, I'm now around 150...
I know some of this is due to instagram changing its policy but what is working these days ? How can one reach an audience ? looks like f/u is damaging the accounts.. Is that so ?
Thanks

F/u works, but is saturated
People leave social media, or find new people to follow. It happens all the time, so it also does on theme pages (or whatever you're growing)

IG is on a slow downward trajectory. Look at any IG related forum and it is full of people with huge drops in engagement etc. I've got a 250K account, by far the biggest in my niche, and it has been stuck on 250K for months. Engagement has also dropped to 10%-25% of what it was.

Hmm might be the business model
I have a friend who has a local business and is getting an increase of views.

Maybe they're pinning down on theme pages. Who knows

I think it may be for two reasons
Either your followers weren't real (fake accounts)
Or it's just Instagram algorithm works like that if you are not engaged in the platform IG daily or it could be weekly depending on how much you interact.
Otherwise IG will decrease engagement with people following you wich means it shows your posts to few people, the same thing on youtube, Facebook most of others platform.

The best solution to get your audience back : make an eye-taking post and boost it ( means paid ads) so you can get more engagement do that for several posts in many days
No rush

Ig is a slow moving media. I didn’t see any sudden spike in any campaigns. Keep patients

IG is moving hard towards video over photos as it tries to keep up with tiktok. You have people spending more time on tiktok that used to be on IG and IG is drawing focus away from what you've probably been posting. Facebook is trying to do the same thing with their recent algorithm change which is going to be catastrophic for a lot of businesses that advertised heavily on facebook. I rarely see accounts I used to see at least daily.

In addition to pushing video content, both IG and FB have shifted the algorithms to make it harder for businesses and money making sites to get free traffic from them. Paying to boost your posts will become the deciding factor in how businesses get themselves in front of people on those platforms. We can complain about Meta doing it but tiktok will follow and so will whatever comes after tiktok. This is the inevitable destination for social media. The internet was always built around getting eyeballs and selling ad space. Social media platforms tried to do the same thing but if you let the advertisers create content on the platform and control exposure there's no reason to buy much advertising. Now they've figured out they need to make social media pay to play. The days where you could start a little business and advertise the heck out of it on social media for free are pretty much over.

1.Follow-Unfollow still works if you combine it with other actions, But it's a steady way to grow if you have patience.
2.Mother Child works too.
3.Reels are the key, IG will push reels to compete with Tiktok.

How to Get More Instagram Followers in 2022
  1. Curate your profile for a strong first impression.
  2. Tap into Instagram Reels.
  3. Optimize your post captions for search.
  4. Invest in your hashtag strategy.
  5. Host an Instagram giveaway.
  6. Partner with influencers and brands.
  7. Create highly-shareable content (including memes)

1. Create Fun, Bite-Sized Reels
2. Get Your Timing Right/look at your own analytics data and then use tools like ContentCal, Loomly, or other scheduling tools to automatically send out your posts at the optimal time.
3. Invite Story Interactions by polls, question stickers, emoji sliders
4. Use Relevant Hashtags with the help of Hashtag Generator Tools

Mother/child method is still compelling
IG hammers most pages that do f/uf on a daily basis

Does anyone know how to make a good video/reel out of a static image? Not using their templates, but something better, is there any services on BHW for this? I am in the art niche.
