US$1 is enough for me to have an awesome meal in a cheap but nice restaurant. US$0.50 is enough for me to cook an awesome home made meal (at home). US$0.50 is enough for me to buy a packet of local cigarettes (known as beedi) containing 30 local cigarettes (beedis). US$2.00 is enough for me to go and watch a movie in a super luxury movie theatre. I am currently living in a country where one can spend minimally and live reasonably nicely, comfortablly & happily WITHOUT living in a minimalist way (thereby saving & investing more than unnecessary spendings).

I live in Mumbai (India). The ONLY thing expensive here is rent and for everything else APART FROM RENT there are good enough options in terms of budget. In my case, I do not have to pay rent (it is a family owned place where I stay).
