Recording Videos off the web

Whats the best way to go about recording videos off the net to use on the web, im building a video website and want to host the files on my own server.

Any suggestions? i think im looking for a FLV recorder if thats right

Download the browser and you can download movies from all streaming sites like youtube, myspace, espn, cnn, etc.

Yah I believe it is called DownloadHelper... at least that is what I've been using for quite some time.

I ended up finding a tool called Real Media Catcher, when you have vid playing it automatically records in .flv format,

its a cool tool and i have a 30 day trial so if any body has a code for it that would be appreciated?

I'll check out the tools mentioned above and give them a whirl,

A while back, I purchased this script, and have done nothing with it.

Installed it, Thats it. http://www.webvideoripper.com/

It will do most video sites
