Hello,

I am going to buy a domain to make a blogging niche, what I know is that exact match domains not work. I am going to purchase a three word domain in which the two words are the keywords that gets 10K-100K searches according to Google keyword tool for example "market analysis", and I think if I purchase a domain with two exact match keyword in it then it will give me hard time to perform good in Google search. My complete domain example is "totalmarketanalysis".

why don't EMD work?? I just sold one several months ago and before selling it, it had started getting clicks out of the blue, without me doing anything. Not only do they work, I actually think google have started favoring them again...

Anyway, mentioning the domain you are about to buy is a really STUPID idea. If a scumbag on this forum sees your domain he'll buy it quickly and then try to sell it back to you for $1000s. You guys are so careless sometimes, I swear....

Just buy the domain, and don't worry if it's EMD or not. With enough quality content and proper SEO you're gonna rank it no matter if it's EMD or not

EMD is fine. No penalty afaik. Just don't over-optimize the content and you'll be ok.

EMD value for 2 word are better than 3, however such a general term as you mention would be expensive. Your first response from @tazarbm made a good point, don't post what you are looking for anywhere. If you want to rank quicker, you really should invest time in finding one with existing valid backlinks in the same niche.

lol @ stupid idea, it really is rofl.

Thinking to get keywords in the domain name is a good idea too but sometimes the domain won't be available easily
if you get a domain it will be a good strategy for your site so go ahead with EMD
