With around 800k you could invest it in various dividend stocks and live passively off it quite comfortably. Probably wouldn't stop me though but its a very good starting point 
How much $ would you need to stop chasing more and more?

It all depends on what your standard of living is really, 800k won't have you riding around in a Ferrari but it's good enough

It's not about habits or dept. Getting property, a new car, fixing some health issues in a private clinic, getting clothes, visiting some friends abroad, etc. If you start to count how much you need if you have the money right now you will be surprised.

This is consumerism. Not innate needs. I can keep any amount of money in my bank account now.
It used to be a problem in the past. Now I can keep $5 for months.

With $1 Million USD I would purchase a home and just forget about money and attend school and order takeout every day for like 5 years.
Then I would have no money at the end, maybe even a little debt, but I would have a house paid for, and a good education, and feel very relaxed and refreshed and ready to work again.
