He means that before prime ppl were making bigger orders with more products, now with prime they order more with less products.

I was so p***ed when they cut the share in 2020... I will never use them again. You can wake up any day and your business is gone, also same for instagram or google and so on, but I don't trust amazon anymore

It does, but the whole wo-wo around the amazon affiliate was whatever someone purchases in one order, you get a commission on all of those but because people now get free delivery, they just only purchase what they immediately order, so the average order value has gone down and, and so has gown down the commissions.

I'm not so sure I follow...
With Amazon Prime, I find myself buying all kinds of stuff, and especially because of the free (and quick) delivery. That's what makes it so appealing. And from the looks of it, my neighbors must feel the same.

Yes, that's true. And that's what I am trying to say. Before when there was no PRIME, people use to buy all the stuff at once but because now you have free delivery, you just care to reach the threshold (I think it's $25) for the free delivery, and that's it. So, you aren't really earning the commissions on the stuff that you would have bought if prime wasn't there.

I don't know... When I check my AA account, I see that people are buying all kinds of stuff I don't sell. I think it's more about the individual. I think I may have only "threshold shopped", maybe 3 or 4 times.
Everything is good with the Amazon affiliate program except the low commission rates.

Yes at least if adsense do the same as amazon I still can change for another one, but at the end all my traffic com from google so a really big algo update and who know what can happen

When you build a digital asset, you are going to be reliant on some source of distribution or monetization, so you can't really skip that.
