mgs, cheers for the response mate.

Ok, I've read this post a few times and it looks like this is about making a legitimate blog about a topic of interest, the example of Hollywood and Celebrities is used if I recall. Most of the blog tutorials suggest you find a niche or micro niche product and create a website selling affiliate products, while using a keyword optimised blog to generate targeted traffic. Can someone explain if this is the case with this method?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, that's the problem...I don't have a htaccess...

EDIT: OK, created one, working fine...

Well, it worked once.
I still have problem with this.
So far this is what I did:

Create a .htaccess
Make it all writable, even tried 777
Copy and paste the WP code in it.
But when I switch permalink to custom using /%postname%/
I have an error. I have to come back on default to make it work.

Any help?

Codythebest:
try to setup your wordpress in your local pc if you have wamp/xamp/vertrigo and you can see how the htaccess is being written, then you can FTP to your site and edit your htaccess from there.

since you got it to work once, try to view what was added to your htaccess, it's a rewrite rule and my guess is it's the only entry there. you would like to save it for future reference when you've started to build more autoblogs i guess.

mgs:

thanks for the info. i'm still having trouble using social networks (reddit) to bump my site, but i've started to submit for backlinks. my traffic's starting to increase. conversion's a bit slow but hey, i'm still getting a feel of things. thanks to everyone for sharing their know-how. i'm really glad i found this forum!!!

Hello everyone,

Ive read about 80% of all postings on this thread, thats lot of reading and ive also been reading up extensively on this autoblogging for the past day or so.

I intend to give this a go but the prospect of creating 100's if not 1000's of auto blogs is a long people.

Im going to create a main site (it being a keywor) and create about 5 subdomains in total under it. But for starters I'll one and see how that goes!

This thread has been up for nearly 1 YEAR!! I know 1000's have probably tried this method! What I want to know is

HOW MUCH HAVE YOU MADE???

NUMBER OF BLOGS CREATED??

No one in over 686 post has extensivly answered these questions! Sure they've said $2, $7, or maybe even $12 over a long period, but thats it!! No update on making $1K, $2K or even $3K a month as stated by the OP.

IMHO, this autoblogging is saturated, to the extent that profiting from this is numbers game. Where you have 100's of blogs bringing in $1, $2, $3 etc, making your daily earnings to be $100's etc

But you have to ask yourself, am I gonna update WP software n plugins on all of my 100 or so blogs? Have I got the time to monitor all these blogs? Can I promote 100 blogs? etc etc, theres loads of unanswered questions if u delve deep into the operation of autoblogging.

Sure u can make money from this, and I have no doubt that numerous people have (OP) but Im also sure he has tons and tons of autoblogs, since he started years ago.

Ive got to admit, I almost bought into the whole autoblogging thing, but the market for this is completely saturated. The idea its self is ROCK SOLID and I thank the OP for this, as its given me a couple of ideas to implement. I am going to utilise the notion of automation to generate some wealth but it wont be on blogging about break up and make up's in Hollywoods!

Thanks once again OP, and I enjoy reading up on your methods! VERY INSIGHTFUL AND WELLTHOUGHT OUT! TOO BAD ITS COMPLETELY SATURATED, AKIN TO EBOOKS!

Joe

I don't know why you think it's oversaturated. I think there are a lot more people doing it now than say 3 years ago, yes, but how many of these people are serious about it?

You questioned yourself the viability of a project like this (ie; promoting, building backlinks, maintaining, tracking) and I think that the vast majority of people will try this with one or two blogs and quit.

The point of the internet (IMO) is refreshing dead and old sites with new ones. Sites and born and die every day. Sometimes the top page on G only had 45 backlinks. How much effort would it take really to beat them out?

I think what you said is true, overall. And I'm glad! The more people who are dissuaded, the less competition overall.

What brought me to all of this is the amount of keywords being searched for every day. Geo-targeting is an idea that has not been used a lot yet, and this idea alone can make lots of money.

Example: NorthTexasDogSitter.info <--- not a real site, though it should be

Great post indeed!
The best tutorial by far on auto blogs !
Thanks for the info!

I have only one blog that is working properly when I change to custom /%postname%/

The others are not working when I change them.
However, they all have the "you should update .htaccess" and all have the code on the bottom. If I put that code in the .htaccess, there is no change.

Make sure your .htaccess is not .htaccess.txt and also recheck the code.

This sounds awesome! I've gotta find the time to implement this stuff! Is their anyone out there that might be willing to tell me how I find out if the feeds I'm getting are "full-article" feeds? I keep getting short summaries from the sites I plug in.

Thanks

Adsense ads just arent showing up...codes in correctly its been about 4 hours now and nothing?! any ideas?

If you have used this system, then there is a chance google may ban you from adsense, so go chekc your adsense account, and try the same adsense with other blogs whether ads are displaying or not.

i m going to try this method thanks for sharing

What a fantastic share! I was just searching to see if Ewen Chia's new book on autoblogging was on the forum, and came across this post simply by accident.

I must say, you could take this information and write an e-book, and make some more $$$, although I'm infinitely grateful that you shared it here.

Many thanks, and may you be blessed with much prosperity!

please stay as far away from ewen Chia as you posibly can. the only thing he was ever good at is selling crappy ebooks filled with affiliate links to idiots.

just read up on the forum, theres a whole section about it. you`ll find lots of usefull info and ideas.

First of all, go to Stumbleupon and create an account, you dont have to be active there just get an account and get their toolbar we really dont about being active. Next once you have approved your account go to your settings and then My Preferences and select the topic that relates to your niche or anything that is close to your niche. Save your preferences. If you do not know how to do it refer to this image..

-------------

Now lets find the blogs that we can leech the RSS feed from. We can do this by clicking the StumbleThru featured in StumbleUpon Toolbar and selecting Blogspot Blogs. Now because you have chosen your topic and then selected StumbleThru Blogspot blogs, StumbleUpon will only show you blogs related to your topic and all you have to do is click Stumble and Stumble and Stumble to go through series of blogs each time you get to a blog just click their RSS feed button and copy paste the RSS feed in a notepad make a list of 100-200 blogs.
How to do this? I choose something like SEO, but when I click StumbleThru and choose Blogspot I always get blogs with pictures only... photography...

For those of you that doesn't even have few dollars to buy a domain I will soon release another guide to make $20 a day for as long as you want.
Hi, is this article already released? Im very interested.

I also wanted to ask. How to find proper blogs about my niche. Tried Stumble upon, but cant get enough relative content to my niche (credit cards)

Thank you!

First of all, let me give you my thanks for such a great post. This approach is certainly what I was looking for. I am in the process of implementing all of your techniques but have come across a snag. Please explain the settings with wp-o-matic, and supercache. For some reason the images are not showing up in posts. I had to create a cache folder with the following string:
/www/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache
I gave it a 755 permission. The image files are showing up there in the directory, but not in the posts. There is something that I am missing in the settings. The first feed I grabbed 10 posts. Those images did not show up at first, but now they are. What exactly am I doing wrong? The images in the post point to the source.

Example:

This is what I am getting when I try to edit the image in the feeds post. I am sorry if I am looking over something very simple, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Please give me something to go on. Thanks.

going to try this for my first source of money. you think this would work with free hosting and domain?

I'm trying it now, and I'll post the results. So far so good. I got my image problem in the previous post handled for the time being. Well let me rephrase that, it's not working. It's still linking the image file in the post to the source. It's going to have to do for now. It's odd because the image files are showing up in the cache folder.....
