Do backlinks redirect from edu sites really work ?

In general, links from .edu sites are overrated. For example, I have seen some sellers sell links from .edu forums or submits for several times more than from other sites.
Seems like a waste of money to me. If you decide to buy a guest post from a .edu site, approach the evaluation of the site from a classic perspective. Pay attention to DR, anchors, organic traffic, link graph, and so on. If you can buy a guest post on the same quality .com site for $100, and you are offered to place on the .edu site for 300 - choose the first option.

One problem you'll run into is that a lot of the edu links are spammed so you're not getting a quality link even if it's contextual. Look at the edu links you can get out of GSA. Sure they get crawled but the content isn't good. I wouldn't pay more for edu links these days.

backlinks from .edu sites can be beneficial, they should be seen as part of a broader strategy that focuses on acquiring high-quality backlinks from various reputable sources. Building a strong backlink profile requires time, effort, and a commitment to producing valuable content that naturally attracts links.

See, the newbies above having a cheerful time encouraging each other and giving thanks. Don't listen to them :)

Apply the same metric you apply to any other page. How many backlinks does the actual page have... is it getting a link from the homepage, is it content page and the link in the content!

edu as in itself has no real value .. actual edu website with tons of reputable backlinks and high authority is where real value is.

Yes, backlinks from edu sites do work. They are viewed as more credible and authoritative than other types of links, meaning they can help to boost your website's rankings and overall visibility.
