[CASE STUDY] How will a 301 Redirect affect my website?!

UPDATE #1

One month has passed since I did the 301.

This is how analytics looks 1-month before the 301.

May-June

After 301

I had an issue with servers for 2 days. That's why the number of pageviews dropped on July 2-3.
After the server issues were solved, everything is back to normal.

If we add the 2 days of downtime, the total number of users would be 4200.
It is a 13% increase compared to 3700 users in May-June.

But I think we are still early to give a verdict. We have to wait another month and hope for some better results.

I'm hoping for a 40% increase in traffic.

PS. The 301 domain had some good links from authority sites in my niche and also some Wikipedia links. I think due to this, a company offered me $200 to review one of their products. Not bad at all :P

So let's wait for another month to better see the results of this case study :)

Enjoy your weekends

Still good signs. Could also be natural growth and redirect has not kicked in yet

Well, it looks like you are making progress. Let see the results for another month.

How can it help?

Cant wait for it :)
it looks a bit more legit. Think about it, when a site is bought by another there is a very big chance the announcement is also made in their social.

In my experience, Google is smart enough to figure this out. I've had the opportunity to witness one site's purchase by another (legit, not expired domaion or anything like that), resulting in a 301, and from the very first day the site set up the 301, the post on social that shared the new site's link suddenly saw an increase in ranking in the brand keyword, from page 2 to position #2 and putting as an excerpt part of that post with the link to the new site included.

Thank you

Seems like it's giving some effect.

I will give a full update on 17 august when Two months are completed
I have been doing something similar with 2 domains. Do you have discord or anyway we can communicate?
