Yeah but asking here for this specific topic is like you're getting the answer from the horse's mouth, and it's easier. Lots of people here, surely, probably, use this feature for various reasons.

Like, and I was also hoping someone would give a bit deeper explanation of what tagging someone does, whether the user you tag just gets a notification on Twitter, maybe an email notification, whether it appears in their feed someplace or something.

But I just really needed to know if it still works, I'll figure out what effect it has exactly myself.

True, but you never know. Things change all the time and I've been out of many games for years now.

Just be aware that because of crypto-related spam, many people are reporting these types of accounts as spammers faster than before. Luckily for spammers, Twitter just made it 5x as hard to report people for some reason. It takes like 3 minutes to submit a report.
