it's only 2 weeks and I got 2 keywords on page 1
no backlinks

Always wanted to try to make an online tools website after I saw one dude on Youtube have success with it. But the tools for the site, are them free or do you have to pay monthly/yearly/one-time fee for them?

it depends. some tools need external APIs (usually have very limited free versions), some tools just need my own server and a simple database, some tools are just client side javascript code

yeah I'm focusing on quantity right now (to identify low competition keywords)
managing a good paid tool requires a lot of work. I'll just promote other's services and get my commission

I added free SEO tools to my site a while ago, and it was one of the best decisions I've made...

The crash is a rebranding/301 to a new domain. I used social media to promote it. This is one of 5 free tools I've added to my site.

So I'm starting an online tools website
there are thousands of tools that could be on my website, like SEO tools, tag generator, Ideal weight calculator, ...

The simplified plan is:
find potentially easy to rank keywords from Ahrefs
make the tool
write like 100-200 word articles with AI tools to see which tools rank right away
analyze search console to find the ones that are actually easier to rank

Expenses:
Domain $10
VPS $7/m (because shared host sucks)
Ahrefs $11/m

What I've done so far:
Setup PHP / MySQL / OLS on the VPS
Setup Wordpress + Generatepress theme (100/100 on pagespeed and gtmetrix)
Created the API for tools (with plain PHP)
Made the first tool, it's already ranking 156 on google with the target keyword

Todo:
Making tools daily, I know PHP and JavaScript. depending on the tools I think I can make up to 100 tools a day (for simple stuff like bmi calculator, ...)
