(ASK) Changing Domain Register Info

Ok - I own mydomain.com and it is registered under my name at namecheap. If I change the account details of the domain account (ie change namecheap account from my name to business name, but leave my name as contact) and leave the domain registered in the same account, will G see this as a new domain owner or just an account change?

So you want to change your whois information for the domain but not the information for your namecheap account correct?

Actually want to change the information for the namecheap account and whois - where I would be the contact for the domain, but my business owns the domain

As long as your website's content doesn't change google couldn't care less about any info changes to the owner of the domain

Are you sure? From what I understand, when G sees new domain owner info all page rank drops, etc...
