Thanks guys. I’ll look into it. The noise has eased up a bit and hopefully stays this way.
Final verdict : become either a murderer or an alcoholic.![]()
I vote alcoholic... unless you can get away with it

He is in room right next to me, we went working to Germany together. So we are in same kinda "hotel"Are you sleeping with your uncle?
Noob question. Does glass really cancel sound more than wood? Can you use glass doors to prevent noises?
i was in this situation for a while, and anything like mufflers, ear tampons, etc was super uncomfortable to sleep with. i would wake up tired and with my ears hurting. what worked for me was rain noises. i would put on my cellphone one of those 8 hours rain noises videos at a volume where it would more or less block the external noise.Would ear muffs work for this purpose? On that note, have sleep masks helped you in anyway?
yes of course if you set it up correctly.Noob question. Does glass really cancel sound more than wood?![]()
Hmm?ear tampons
...this may have not been the best translation. ear plugs? still sounds wrongHmm?![]()
@Yes. Glass blocks more sound than wood. Wood is good at sound absorption and not sound blocking. Standard double glazed glass has an STC (sound transmission class) rating between 38-42. An stc value above 35 is considered good for soundproofing.Noob question. Does glass really cancel sound more than wood?![]()
