Cancelling noise during sleep?

I do really feel you bro, had the same situation before, the only solution for me was to move, but then you say they aren't neighbors.

They aren’t neighbors. Just hooligans using the streets to do whatever tf they want.
Arent there others neighbors who suffer from that as well ? going to police is a necessity here, or do as Willy suggested : two shots in the air from that fascinating machine, and you're good.

Long story short, I’m surrounded by dickwads that blast music all the way past midnight. I can’t go to the law enforcement with this.

I’ve the sony noise cancelling headphones and AirPods Pro and they work great but beyond an hour of use, my ears begin to hurt. I’m looking for alternatives that would cancel out the noise from these Neanderthals.

Would ear muffs work for this purpose? On that note, have sleep masks helped you in anyway?

Haven’t slept properly in a few days and am hopping on BZDs tomorrow but would still like to know your experiences on the muffs and blinds.

Cheers.
A very tired rabbit.
Leave everything behind and go the forest ever no more sound only Nature will call you

Looks like y’all won’t stop till I become a murderer. :D
We are just helping you achieve your true self

Some potential solutions arranged in increasing order of cost:

- Earplugs: $5-$40 (can be cheap and effective. If wore properly can easily reduce upto $40 decibels)

- Active Noise Cancelling Earphones/Headphones: $100-$500
(Can be more effective than earplugs and reduce most noises)

- Soundproofing your Room
If you don't like wearing headphones/ear plugs all night, $1000-$5000 depending on your room size and material used.

- Sleep somewhere else.
When you want to sleep peacefully and can't be bothered with the above solutions. Hotel rooms for a night can cost anywhere from $10-$10,000 depending on where you live and whether you want to sleep in a shed or a 5-star palace.

- Get a new house.
The permanent solution. Can cost anywhere from $5000 to $10 mil depending on where you live, and whether you want to buy a shed or a five star palace.

I’ve considered that. Don’t tempt me lol

I’ve also considered nicking the wires to their speakers when no one’s around. Damn…I need help.

In all honesty I have done something one time in the street with people mocking me and annoying me, maybe it can apply but I can be a bit extreme at times.

write a letter that you will give them. You will explain that you have some mental issues and you need calm around you to be in a good mental state because you came out of a psychiatric hospital after beating up your previous neighboors who screamed during the night and wake up everyone.

You now have a trauma with neighboor and you don't have the right mental state to be around noisy people.

If you do this I am sure you will be quiet.

I don´t know if this was discussed before but maybe get a little pharmacological help?

I know this isn´t the most ideal solution, especially long-term but at least you will get some sleep and rest.

As a side note...Why you can´t go to the authorities?

Bose has sleepbuds. Haven't tried them, but I find earplugs (whether they are earphones or just foamy buds) kind of a hit-miss product, because it so heavily depends on the shape of your ears.

Either way, best to give it a shot or call in help from a pro. Sleep is very important.

Use brown noise...it cancel bass. Point the speakers towards morons...Enjoy sleep.

Maybe do a couple of hours at the gym or something beforehand just to completely tire yourself out?

This might be a good idea. I had a soundproof studio in my old house and it was the best. I was too young to enjoy the silence though.

Make something like this on-top of your bed with a lot of blankets, diy style.

Dear, is that a cradle for adults?

Good idea. They’ll call up the asylum right after I say this and have me picked up in a jiffy. Thanks bro. :D

not a murderer
just teaching hooligans the reality of actions has consequences
Life isn’t fair sometimes. :/

I am. Hopping up on BZDs soon.
Because these hooligans have nothing to lose. They’re neanderthals so they probably won’t listen to the cops either. Cops don’t enforce laws on sons of politicians.

Thanks. I didn’t know such a thing existed. I shall look into it.

Try this, its herbal. Gives you deep sleep. Not a sleeping pill and is not prescribed. I have been using this for quite some time.
Already on it. I use it because I work out but you’re right. It helps but not that much though.

Right before sleep? I usually work out first thing in the morning for an hour and do a bit of cardio in the evening. I do this because I take PWO when I’m lifting weights and it would be best to take first thing in the morning, right?
