Also, what VPNs work or won't work with TikTok for a simple personal account? Do you need proxies?

you can use desktop web browser for tiktok just go and login on the website. But there are some features you can only do on mobile. You don't need a proxy if you have only 1 account. But if you have multiple accounts proxies are recommended and clean cookies between each login.

Yeah, it is a bit different experience, not as enjoyable overall, but there is no issue creating and using TikTok from your desktop browser. I believe back in the day it was impossible, but I just tested it a few days ago and there was no issue creating 2 TikTok accounts on the same IP with different browsers. I just signed in with my existing Google accounts.

Video editing and some search functions are limited to phone app. Maybe some other things too. But uploading ready made videos totally possible

Dont have much experience as i have uploaded only couple videos from pc but those videos got views pretty soon. I think it shouldn't matter if you upload from pc or mobile.

Oh, also, another quetion.

IMPORTANT:

Can you buy/make Tiktok accounts, then use them only on desktop, somehow removing the phone numbers from the accounts without adding a new phone number, so that no one with the old number can take your account? Thus just having the accounts be email verified only? Or do you have to always have phone numbers tied to the accounts?
