What Hosting Would You Recommend

I'm currently hosting my site with namecheap. In fact, I upgraded from their steller basic hosting to steller business hosting, yet my site has become very slow. My site fails all Core Web vital test. I have tried compressing and lazy loading images as well as using caching plugins, all to no avail.

So please, what hosting would recommend for a WordPress site that can pass all Core Web vitals.

I am using Centos7 with Centos Web Panel. It is free, but if you need some additional features you can buy it for $10 / year.

That's True.

While it is a fact that hosting plays an important role in website loading speed, there are many factors that you need to fix in first place.

- Which theme are you using?

- Which cache plugins are you using?

- Are you using CDN?

- Have you enabled GZip or brotli compression?

- How many plugins are you using?

Unless you give these factors some attention, only hosting change will not help you.

Still, to answer your question, I have a very good experience of Siteground and Greengeeks. You can try their services if you are determined to migrate.
 
I recommend fast hosting. Wp engine, wpx, on higher end. Site ground on middle tier end. to get more option, Google:

With all things equal you want a fast hosting.
And namecheap and godaddy are definitely not the one. They are cheap domain sellers.

I use generatepress theme and a couple of plugins which include woocommerce, yoastseo, shortcode Ultimate and more

Okay, let's start from the beginning. Core Web vitals are commonly said to indicate how fast your website loads but that is not the only thing that it measures and even in case of page speed there are multiple steps involved which you might be misinterpreting. In general PageSpeed Insights does a great job of explaining where your website fails, after completing a test you can scroll down and read about each contributing factor and how to fix that.

Back to what contributes to your website loading speed. It can be generally divided into three parts:
1. Connection speed
2. Back-end response speed
3. Front-end rendering speed

A faster hosting solution will only help you resolve issues with (2) because I reasonably assume that Namecheap has (1) figured out. However, oftentimes bad Core Web vitals results are because of number (3). Start with reading into what PageSpeed Insights recommend you to do, their solutions are helpful.

It depends on the website, but fewer plugins that are well coded is always good. There is no normal number. Quality of the plugins is more important.
 
Here is a free 4CPU 24GB Ram VPS from Oracle.

I spent years figuring out the faster way to load wordpress websites - the answer for me is WHM + Litespeed Cache plugin.
 
It really depends on what is the purpose of hosting. Let's say if the hosting is mainly for wordpress themes, then the recommendations would be going with bluehost's multihost Plus plan. Where you can gain the advantages of unlimited website hosting and access to free pre-built wordpress CMS themes, along with that SSL and SEO packages will be added. Sometimes if you don't prefer the pre-loaded themes, it's always good to pick a theme of your choice from themeforest.

Alternative option would be, simply park the domain in Godadaddy just for nameserver and DNS, host your own developed site to the Google's Firebase (it won't support wordpress or any CMS), it gives a free SSL along with it.

Namecheap would also be a good option, but many were facing the issues on SSL/HTTPS issues during the site re-direction.
