I started talking to clients

I had no time to try all my strategies yet. It was only one day of selling.

But I've been thinking of it for 10 years.

If someone says something, I probably read about it on the Internet before or thought of it before.

I'll tell you how I got my best customer.

I'm a member of a skype group where there's a bunch of people that sell what I sell. And one day someone popped in and asked if someone has some service, which I had. Normally I don't reply to these, but this guy claimed to have tons of orders, and he wrote in a professional and coherent way.

But I was in bed, and to reply I'd have to get out of bed and take 5 steps to get to my lap top. I didn't really want to. Plus I wasn't sure if I could handle tons of orders, and also probably nothing would come of it even if I replied. Long shot at best. And I really didn't wanna get out of bed.

But then I got a burst of energy and I decided fuck it, I'll do it. If I get more than I can chew, I'll chew harder, fuck it. So I got up and replied.

Turns out it was one of the biggest players in my industry, and he ended up becoming a customer, and long story short I got some money now and still growing :D

So I'm no master of the universe here, but the internet always gave me love, and that's how I make money, love :p

I gotta be tough as the CEO. Man, I got to have balls to handle all those rejections. 19 in 20 people will reject my offer after contacting me. And that makes perfect sense when you realize there are 19 different CEOs doing the same thing. You gotta have balls to deal with the CEO stuff.

Pushing harder each day. More mails, more messages, more ads and more content. No stopping. Gotta be as fast as lightning and as tough as rock. This is the CEO stuff kids don't know.

If your clients are happy to deal with someone with no personal connection, good luck.
Either budgets will remain low, or someone else will come in and promise the same for less.
You'll be in a purely transactional, low margin space.
There's a reason corporate gifts, account handlers, etc are a part of the large ad business. You need personal touch, albeit on a sliding scale.
IMO

How much money you make is important, but how you make your money is also important.

If I have to suck your dick to make the big money, I'd rather stay over here dick-free and make low budget money. Maybe I scale the low budget customers and then when you put it all together I end up with a high-ish budget, and still dick-free.

I just had some guy write something to me saying that my service must be bad, even though he didn't even ask about the samples.

In a moment I came out of my house and something like a hornet was flying next to me.

I finally started screaming thinking I was in a dystopia.

I wonder how many days from now I'll find my first paying customer.
Oh, he kinda gave you bad review even though he was never your client and didn't see your shitfolio/case studies? Def happened to me too, funnily enough when I do a good job they never want to write me a good review, ahhhhhh
good luck, dealing with clients can get on your nerves fast.
Oh yeah
Good ! I can't count how many times i missed on great business opportunities because of my anxiety 5 years ago, i had peoples asking me if i can do video call and i was like no no no !! now it's much better, whatever makes you feel confident guys, just do it !.
Fuck, if I can avoid video I always do... Voice at best but I try to do what I have to do in text/email if possible. Even that gives me some weird anxiety, ehhh.
I chat with clients. Email, skype, insta, forum, etc.

But to talk? Like bla bla bla talk for real? There is not enough money in the world :p
DM closing is the thing!

I'm not anxious. I dealt with so many messed up people in the past years and went through such a number of crazy beliefs those people shared with me, I am feeling like I went through mental illness and the worst types of ventures on the planet (criminals, sociopaths, addicts).

I can do anything as long as none of those idiots are around. Sadly there is a lot of them on the internet, but they are not clients. Clients are rarely in any of those groups I listed above. They're not delusional morons who lack common sense and go off-topic in every single discussion or turn things against you all the time. Unless they're scammers but that's easy to sense if you do deals with real businesses.

I am a pushy salesman, doing a ton of followups and doing anything it takes to close a sale. I didn't do that in the past, but I see it's not rocket science. Rocket science and sales could be interesting. I would sell rocketships like SpaceX. lol

Good for you. Are you asking questions or talking about yourself? Think of your customer as a date. Flatter them if you "want some". You don't want the one that leaves with just by showing your biceps and bragging if you care about lifetime value. That is if you are looking for the long term ;)
How to deal with that if I don't have any dates ever

Think of it as haggling over the price of a nice item at market. Flatter the salesman and not the product or you will overpay... think of those savings as your profit, because if you stack your (supply-demand) chain right, it very well could be.

I think we should speak with clients correctly in every type of business even if clients don’t buy anything. It will leave a good impression of your company

At most, I chat with clients.
I only talk to clients if the project is worth the while.
