Can rewritten content rank?

I appreciate all the answers here. I'm definitely going with rewriting given the positive answers. For the most part of my content, I'll do rewriting and when I have a budget I can outsource a few.

So far I made 5k words in 2 days. Which is the biggest progress I made in producing content. I'll try to churn out at least 2k words a day and hopefully, it will result in something meaningful.

Works 100% - doing this for topics I do not know enough about but need the content
And exactly like this - moving things around, adding some here and there, throwing it at surferSEO to make sure I have the most parts covered, etc.
Ranked a bunch of pages / subpages with that method. Throw a few backlinks at the URL you post that on ( don't overdo, check your competitors backlinks to that subpage how many they have ) and you're good to go.

Unique yes but high quality how? How will you measure high quality? One way to measure high quality or not is to give it to a native writer or editor and get feedback on quality.

I've manually rewritten content for close to for over 20 years now and I can tell you that yes, rewritten content does work.

The problem is a lot of people assume that rewriting is simply just rewording.

These are two totally different things.

You have to understand that rewriting is all about preserving the same information that the source has but organizing and phrasing it in a better way.

For example, I would often take content that seems like it was written by a professor.

I would then simplify the wording, but preserve the same information.

I would also restructure the content so that it's easier to scan.

I would add helpful subheadings that target certain key words so I kill two birds with one stone.

And not only does the reader have an easier time enjoying this content, but Google can index and rank it easier. I also focus on engagement level.

You have to understand that human beings are emotional.

So there has to be some sort of emotional trigger.

You can't just focus on the info because if you did, then there's really no good reason why your reader should pick your site to visit when there are tons of other sites with the same basic info.

You have to include some sort of emotional angle there.

And one common way to do this is to appeal to fear or to FOMO.

Other than that, that's a nice list you got.

1) create article outline (Manual or Using Frase) - more thorough and and more coverage than whats on the serps
2) use 3-10 articles and copy-paste content to build the article outline
3) Pharaprase using quillbot
4) Rearrange stuff
5) Change synonyms manually where it make sense
5) Change headings titles
6) Add some of my own words around 300-500 words
7) Proofread and edit using Grammarly
8) Check for plagiarism using quetext - should not go above 10% plagiarism, because quetext tend to capture non related articles

In the end - I'll have a unique and high quality article.

My question is would this kind of content rank on google?

YES, OF COURSE THIS WILL RANK. BUT NEEDS SOME KIND OF ALSO MARKETING THESE ARTICLES IN OTHER PLACES TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE VISIBLE.

It's time consuming in my opinion. What I do personally is :
1. Visit the top 2-5 SERPs for my article keyword
2. Read their content and make small bullets on what to include (the ones I consider essential phrases for that particular keyword).
3. Write the content on my own and include variations of those bullets.
