I log on to CNN and notice they are referring to the snow going on up north as 'Snowmageddon'.
Is that really necessary?
It's frustrating to watch the news media going crazy over the weather. I mean, I understand that there's major snow going on in parts of the US...but doesn't it normally snow up there in the winter time? I mean, it's not like there's a major blizzard going on in the middle of July....it's only February (winter time).
On New Years eve i was watching the Headline News. I kid you not, the anchor lady asks the weather guy, 'Could you please explain to us why we're having such cold weather?'
You don't have to be a meteorologist to understand that (in the US) it's usually cold in FREAKING JANUARY.
I would understand the concerns if there were major blizzards going on in Florida or Hawaii, i'd consider that a little bit unusual....something to be alarmed about. But why does it seem that the media likes to panic when it's really cold in the winter time and really hot in the summer time? Seriously folks, no need to panic, my psychic powers predict that the snow will probably 'disappear' in March.
I understand pple complaining about the weather....we all do that, but i don't like this panic mode the press gets into when normal events happen.
anyway, for those of you stuck in the snow, go enjoy it. IDK...go build a black hat snow man or something......
